This is probably the best looking 4K I have seen. Amazing picture quality and looks so life-like. It feels like you are watching a documentary on BBC, it’s that good! Loved the movie as well. People want to compare this to the animated cartoon, but I feel like this is more of a movie and should stand on it’s own. The SteelBook looks absolutely gorgeous also.

Great movie for adults & children. The 4k ultra hd picture quality was amazing. It looked so realistic great job on that disney. Unfortunately i cannot say the same for sound. Disney has been putting out great movies. The sound quality is not horrible but not great either. Unfortunately the steel book i purchased had several dents. Its very upsetting but there's no way I'm going to deal with the hassle. Overall you get the beautful steel book case with nice artwork a 4k blu-ray disk, regular blu-ray & a digital copy you can redeem on movies anywhere in 4k btw.

The way that it was packaged and waiting for me was phenomenal. Overall the movie is amazing and was created wonderfully for all who love the cartoon movie from the 90’s this movie was mastered the same way just with a touch of life. I would recommend anyone to buy it unseen you’ll be VERY pleased.

I loved this movie. A lot of sentimental, traditionalist hated the movie. They prefer the original. I prefer this one. The clarity is outstanding, its 4k perfection. A must for the 4k video file.

Watched it in the movie theater, and I said to my self I will buy it in 4k when it comes out. Now I own it and enjoy the 4K quality in the tv and sound in my home theater. Great movie for adult and kids . Reminds me of the original.

The movie was in perfect shape no deans on the Box The 4K quality was excellent and this is a very good movie you should pick it up if you do not have it you should get the 1st one to both are very good

This movie was very entertaining i like the transfer to live from animation. The video was reference quality but the audio was alittle lacking.

it is has been a year when by when this the lion king movie came out to the theater my girl and her mom when to see it but she still like to buy it when it came out to dvd and watching it again with the whole family . it is a very excellent movie

This movie was the first movie I worked through during my job at a movie so it has sentimental value to me. It was a great film too and steelbook is absolutely stunning!

A movie based on my favorite Disney cartoon when I was growing up, a must buy for any Disney fan.

Let's play Jinga! Drop your blocks on the floor! I got no idea what they're singing, That's what it sounds like to me. But you just gotta love hippos and giraffes in choreograph scenes. And since this film, how many dads have raised their toddlers in the air at football games to see it on the jumbotron, huh? Lion King is part of our cultural lexicon!

As one of maybe a handful of people that has never seen Disney's 1994 "The Lion King" I am completely enchanted with this stupendous 4K visual presentation of the Shakespearean-like tale. This animated adventure film is not like anything seen before. Completely shot within a virtual "studio" consisting of 100 square miles of African savanna, mountains, gorges, valleys, waterfalls, desert, et al, using an array of standard camera equipment (Steadicam, dolly, hand-held, tripod, etc., but with a sensor rather than a camera head) and hand controllers, the result is truly stunning. The 4K disc has Dolby Atmos sound while the 2K blu-ray has DTS 7.1 Master HD. Both are perfectly mixed to enhance the viewing pleasure. The extras on the blu-ray consist of "making of" videos which I found most interesting and several music videos with storyboard/film comparisons. Even if animation is not your cup of tea, you still need to see this movie. I can say with nearly 100% certainty that it will not be a one-time viewing if you are a fan of filmmaking. And the steelbook case makes for excellent packaging.

The picture is a dazzling example of real world photography and digitally constructed hybrid excellence, and it's bolstered by the HDR color spectrum. The picture is not drastically darker. It is instead very bright and cheerful without sacrificing tonal integrity and depth. These elements are increased on the UHD over the Blu-ray, with the earthy animal tones and terrains enjoying fairly significant increases in color clarity and depth. Bright lights -- rising suns, raging fires -- are boosted by the HDR's ability to intensify tones. Natural greens find more resplendent depth and dazzle. Nighttime exteriors are bold and thematically purposeful. The UHD further reduces the more pervasive noise seen on the Blu-ray. No major source or encode issues of note are apparent. This is a beautiful UHD presentation from Disney.

The picture and audio quality of the 4k blu ray is very nice and the Steelbook packaging makes for a nice gift. As for the film, I thought it was really great. Jon Favreau did an excellent job directing this. I know a lot of people like to claim the Animated Movie is better, but I feel this is an unfair criticism of this remake. If you consider the Remake on its own, I think it has substantial value. Lastly, the visuals are excellent and it is impressive how far CGI has come. The animals look lifelike. Check this out if you want a good film for the whole family or just an update on the Animated Classic.
