I already had the blu ray version, but I bought the 4K edition to try out my new 4K blu Ray player. I was very impressed with the clarity and details. Highly recommend seeing it!

Amazing picture quality, this is a true 4K disc. If you want to know what 4K is really capable of, then this is the disc to buy! And almost always anywhere from $10-$15!

Can't say enough about the 4k version of this movie as it blows away the Blu-ray copy I have. And the sound system I have really helps make viewing this an impressive pleasure.

A somber movie, and excellent drama piece. Some of the finest actors gives breath to this terrific and gripping movie. It is no surprise that it did well at the academy awards.

Great movie, obviously, but this is also a great 4k implementation also! The sound is engrossing and the visuals are crisp when paired with even an average 4k tv.

The Revenant in 4k is absolutely fantastic. I saw this at the movies and I prefer to see it in 4K at my own house. Every time I watch it I find things I didn't notice before.

I was late to the bandwagon on this movie. I bought it to watch because of the great price. It was an incredible movie based on a true story. Leonardo is a fantastic actor.

Get the 4k copy when it's on sale. This is a must watch but definitely not one you want to repeat over and over. Might as well get the higher quality version initially.

The cinematography!!!! Man the cinematography is second to none!! One of the best cast of performances in ages and executed by one the better directors in the industry.

The movie was thrilling from beginning to end. I would highly recommend. What sweetened the deal was the fact that it was on sale for an incredible price.

This is one of those movies that is great eye candy (cinematography is amazing), but it just doesn't have any rewatch value. Leonardo Dicaprio is terrific as usual, but the film can drag on at times. I think it's worth it to see it once and maybe to some people it can be worth rewatching.

For under $10 you get a beautiful matte finish steelbook, an +A movie and a digital code that when redeemed converts to 4K. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS PRUCAHSE.

Saw this film in theater and loved it. Near theater quality in 4K. Would strongly encourage having a good home theater sound system, just to maximize the experience.

It’s not an entirely accurate account of his life, but the cinematography is excellent. I love gritty movies like this! And the soundtrack is excellent, too!

What a movie !!! It is an absolute work of art. The people who say it is dark, moody and depressing should not be watching it at all. It does an excellent job of portraying life in the wilderness in the 1800's of men who trapped furs for a living and lived a very raw life just to survive. I honestly do not know how Leonardo DiCaprio ever managed to live through this movie while it was being made - I was frozen the whole time and felt like I was right there with him & the other trappers and Indians. Life back then was horrible and for the men that chose trapping in the wild during the time that Indians stalked everywhere; they really had a rough life. Eating raw fish & meat and even rotten food was just the way they had to take it sometimes, to survive. The Cinematographer Lubezki and the Director Alejandro certainly deserved awards for their skills and talents. I am going to look up the movie "Man in the Wilderness" with Richard Harris just to compare how the story was portrayed differently. This is an incredible movie, which certainly entertained me, even if it was hard to believe that the main character could survive so many unbelievable threats to his life!
