A great season with a awesome collector's edition.

This season was more character driven in that we got to spend more time with them individually and also interact with those you wouldn't expect (Darryl/Beth for example), and it made you invest in them as characters all the more so. Lot's of memorable moments, along with the return of the Governor, and the cliffhanger season finale made this the best season behind #3.

Being a fan of The Walking Dead series, this fourth season completes my collection. Awesome image in blue-ray, great extras and a zombie figure in a tree, what's more to ask! I'll definitely recommend it to everybody's fan of the series or zombies.

I love this franchise and this is one of my favorite season lots of hours of content

Lots of people complain too much character development and not enough of the group together. The whole thing is it gives the actors a chance to work on other projects but also gives the viewers a chance to ge some insight on who the characters are.

I find this season's episodes very entertaining for the most part, beacause of the development of strong interpersonal relationships between characters who are generally likeable, even if flawed, like ourselves. However, the zombie/character interactions continue to be absurd at times. The ability of the bumbling zombies to surprise characters and kill or nearly kill characters is implausible, especially after a few seasons. Still characters haven't learned to be overly cautious or take common sense precautions. Examples: opening doors when apparently assuming everything is fine on the other side; never closing doors behind themselves, especially when being pursued by zombies; not vigilantly looking around or standing back to back when traversing the country side; not using load noises to test whether zombies are nearby like in a closed room, to provoke the zombies to grunting and growling and noisily ambulating; not having determined which weapons are the best for fighting zombies and under what circumstances to use particular weapons; not always creating barriers, like at the doors they use to enter and exit a home/ haven (but they are being used more now); etc. By now fortified villages could have been built with concrete walls, gates within gates to limit all-or-none zombie invasions into residential areas. But in spite of these shortcomings I find the show very entertaining, I just look past the shortcomings.

If you like the Walking Dead you gotta get this. I did and it was a great price.

The fourth season of The Walking Dead finds Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) desperate to rediscover his own humanity and preserve what he can of his son Carl's (Chandler Riggs) childhood through reinventing himself as a farmer while a counsel including Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) in addition to several Woodbury ex-pats take on leadership roles. His newfound sense of peace is quickly derailed, however, when a mysterious illness begins to decimate the community. Elsewhere, the disgraced Governor (David Morrissey) roams the apocalyptic streets on his own until happening upon a family of survivors who reignite both his will to survive and take revenge against Rick, who he blames for the loss of Woodbury. Following a massacre at the prison, the group is splintered into several factions, none of whom can be sure about the fates of the others, and forced to find shelter among a population of survivors that can pose as much and often more of a threat than the walkers themselves. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi

An Awesome show that i have been waiting to buy for a while!

After a meandering season three, season four gets The Walking Dead back to its roots. I'd imagine the biggest challenge in crafting an extended story with such a one-trick protagonist would be striking balance between gory action and character development, and season four hits just about the right mix. It starts slowly, but the intensity builds as the season progresses, and throws in a few curveballs for good measure. A lot of people have recently complained that The Walking Dead has become stale over the past four-and-a-half seasons, but it was never *just* a show about people killing zombies. At its core, it's more Romero than 28 Days Later - it is about characters, and their motivations that have been built upon prior tragedies and triumphs, just as in any well-written dramatic narrative. If you loved the first and second seasons, but started to drift away during season three, season four rights the ship.

What can I say, I am a fan of the. Walking dead series.

This TV Series is by far one of my favorite to watch.

I must admit, this episode was not as action packed as some have come to expect. However, we get to take a dive into the split personality of the Governor. Redemption is beyond his grasp and all we can do is wonder what this man driven insane will attempt next. He is the wild card of the series. To call him a loose canon is an understatement. I enjoyed revisiting the character and can't wait to see how it unfolds. I should also note that you should take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Some people want action 24/7 but this series was never about being action oriented all the time. The quieter times in the series help to create a dynamic experience like the calm before the storm. That way, when the action does occur, it is all the more enjoyable.

The Walking Dead franchise is alive and well as it moves through its 4th season. As Rick and his band fight for some sense of normalcy inside the prison, the Governor convinces a new band of followers to take out Rick and company. As with all of the other seasons, Season 4 presents viewers with many plot twists and surprises (and another unfortunate trend of killing off a main character is continued too) and the introduction of a lot of new characters. The Governor's attack on the prison is one of the best episodes in the entire series. As Rick and his scattered band attempt to reunite, they all eventually hear of a sanctuary known only as "Terminus" that they all move toward. This show is truly a classic. The only disappointment viewers experience with this series is when a season ends.

The Walking Dead Season 4 continues the journey of Rick, Michonne, Daryl and the rest of the merry band of survivors of the zombie apocalypse. The seasons journey begins with our group living out a somewhat comfortable(by apocalypse standards) existence behind the walls and fences of the shows most impressive set design(the prison) when a new threat emerges, threatening everything the group has gained through hard work, perseverance and a unified front. Things go from bad to worse and soon their very survival depends on their ability to adapt to their surroundings and sole reliance on each other. Season 4 furthers the shows creative stride, albeit a bit slow in its second half(last 8) Highly recommended.

The Walking Dead Season 4 continues the story of a group of survivors as they deal with the zombie apocalypse. This season was darker and more edgy than seasons past making you feel like there is not going to be a happy ending for this group and the more that they go on the more bleak their situation becomes. Like seasons past, it leaves wanting more for what is awaiting the upcoming season. Great acting, great story-telling, and great visual effects help mold this into a series that cannot be missed. If you are not watching this show now, then this would be a good time to jump on now because the ride is only going to get better.

This season somehow maintains the ability to stay fresh and surprising in the midst of the, by now, usual daily grind of zombie pest management. It remains a character-driven series and this season throws a few curve balls that have you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering "how in the heck do they get outta that one?" or, even better, "how would I react in such a situation?" My friends and I found ourselves discussing what we would do after several of the episodes (hypothetical social situations). It entertains even after the show's over, haha.

Nice looking artwork on the case although not exclusive to this particular set. The real prize here is the statue that holds your collection. Tree walkers arm raises and head turns when you insert the set and lowers again when you remove it. No batteries required. The movement is controlled by a pressure plate at the bottom within the opening for the Blu-ray set. Nice mechanism to use to make batteries unneeded. Great set for the avid fan and collector but for a casual fan one of the many standard variants would be just as pleasing.

Season 4 can be divisive, but I give it my highest rating because the characters are given more time to develop. The theme of faith in something greater is explored as Rick's group is dealt some of the harshest blows yet. The mid-season finale is one of the show's best, and be warned: it is truly heartbreaking. I would urge people put off by complaints about season four's pace to give it a try; the show reaches new depths of emotion here. Excellent picture and sound quality. A+.
