Setup and Use These recovery boots are so well-designed that a manual is not really necessary. This system was on the market initially as RecoveryPump PRX2020 System but has been rebranded, and it has become more affordable in the process. While charging the battery on the pump, it is important to note that the switch on the back of the pump must be in the “ON” (I) position. I noticed that if you don’t download the app before using the pump, the date defaults at 1/1/19 with no option to change the date using the pump’s controls. Once you download the app, the app will keep a log of the entire session (session type, pressure, duration, and deflation). The app was the easiest app I have ever used. The unit was discovered automatically, and I had immediate access to modifying my session. Even though using the button on the pump was not too time consuming, the app made this task blazingly fast. There was even an advanced setting to individualize the pressure in each air pocket. If I accidently messed up the pressure gradient, the app would automatically correct this. The air pockets in the boots are overlapping, and the pressure in the lower pocket maintains to keep body fluid pushed toward the heart. I liked how these boots had a full-length zipper to make it easy to clean and air out. There are options to purchase compression pants, vests, and sleeves, which can all use the same pump. Fit I am 6’1” and the medium compression boots were a perfect fit. The compression was applied for the full length of my leg. Pros Overlapping air pockets in boot Maintains gradient pressure Multiple settings to choose from Well designed app Cons No setting on pump to change current date No storage bag for boots and pump With such a great app and multiple (customizable) sessions, I highly recommend this compression recovery unit. I just wish a storage bag for the boots and pump was included.

The Therabody RecoveryAir PRO are designed to help you recover after a workout, the pneumatic compression system has been a huge benefit to me during my pre-work out routine and after a workout. At first, I was a bit skeptical about these things, they look awkward, feel a little funny when you put them on, and my kids get a kick out of them when I have them on. However, the 4 chambers of pneumatic pressure that starts at my feet, calves, knees, then upper thighs are designed to overlap and provide pressure to move blood in your legs up back to your core. This promotes a faster recovery, and they are very comfortable to wear. The material the boots are made of are a very high-quality material that is easy to clean and a strong zipper that zips down to the feet. The pump for this unit has a few presets and a customize setting that you can use. Interval, Recover, Warm-up, Isolation, and Custom are the options you can choose from. Each one will have different Pressure, time, and release time that combined provides a different type of therapy to meet your needs. You have the option to increase the pressure up to 100 mmHg and up to 90 minutes or have it stay on. You can cycle the pressure in a few ways such as sequential, wave, ISO (Isolation), and flow. You can charge this, and I am not sure on how long the battery is rated for, but I have used it 5 times while on the battery with at least 30-minute cycles and I still have a little battery left. This is a nice feature so you can travel with it and not have to worry about having to be right next to a power outlet to use it. It is about 5 lbs. so it is not that heavy either. In the box they include plug incase you want to only use one boot at a time. I do also want to mention that when you are using this, it is not very loud at all. I am very impressed with it overall, and I look forward to using it. You do want to wear some comfortable pants such as sweatpants or just shorts though, other material may damage the boots or you might feel some discomfort from that material bunching up and pressing against your skin, so be aware of that. Therabody has an app for this, and you can easily control your experience from that. The app is called RecoveryAir in the google Play store and it works great. It makes the customization of your recovery easier to use then the pumps buttons. However, to connect to the pump each time, you must launch the app (with BT on) and then click the OK start/stop button on the pump itself to finish the connection. It does not connect w/o doing that each time. The app will allow you to easily target certain areas so say you just want to focus on your knees, it will fill up the feet, calves and then knees. If you just wanted to do your feet, then just the feet will fill up. This is because it will always fill up the lower chambers first to promote that blood flow back to your core. My only complaint about the app is that the branding of it should be in line with the Therabody products. Different apps for different devices from the same company just confuse things, in my opinion. This is a very expensive unit, but from what I have read, it is priced lower than units that do not do as much as this does. Unfortunately, this does not come with a case to carry it either and that would be a nice addition to have. Pros: Workout Recovery Warm up Build quality quiet Built in Battery App Cons: Cost no carrying case included

    High-end Recovery System that delivers

There is a feel of sophistication with about every aspect of this unit, from the packaging to the app. I thought the system would be super complex and be a pain to get setup and ready to use. But that was not the case at all and can be used within the amount of time it takes one to open, unwrap, and plug up. In my limited sports career (high school) an ice bath was the recovery method of choice. Then later in life I had the privilege to work around (not with) sports medicine from a collegiate level. I was able to spectate the science and research that went into the treatment and prevention of sports related injuries. I have tried to adapt these tools in my business life with respect to the conditioning of my crews as well as my personal life because of persistent shoulder, lower back, and leg pains. Over the past year, I have become super reengaged in physical fitness and try to workout 4 to 6 days a week, with a strong emphasis on weightlifting. With this rekindled strive for self-betterment, my body likes to remind me daily that I am in my early forties and not my early twenties. I would like to believe that over the past few months that I am pushing myself harder than I have in more than a decade or ever have, and I am trying to play through the mild aches that come along naturally. However, my legs annoyingly hurt after leg day and the pain can more than just mild. Mondays are normally the start of my workout week and I always begin my week with the thing my little chicken legs hate most and that is a solid full leg top to bottom work out. That way no matter what else I do that week I have that out of the way. I of course stretch very well before and after but no matter what I have tried my legs always feel like they are going to fall off for the next few days. I will try to run the next day to encourage the tension release from the squats, extensions, and presses but even when I do not add the cardio it just always sucks for a period following. When offered for testing, I at once jumped at the chance thinking back to what I had seen professional’s use and how this resemble those. Upon research myself, I figured out that these are the ones the professional’s use as the price point might suggest anyway. It just worked out perfectly that the day I received my Theabody – Recovery Air Pro pneumatic compression systems was on leg day. So that day I pushed hard and had a very productive workout that I knew I was going to pay for. We returned home that afternoon, I opened the box and read through the instructions thoroughly and as mentioned was plugged up and ready to go within minutes. I would like to note that I am 6’2” 215 lbs. and the Medium fits perfect on me. My son and wife are about 5’7” 115 respectively each and they were able to use the medium equally as well. I opted to run the recovery module first, which is a 30-minute session. I thought that was an excessive amount of time, but I put a pod cast on and fired it up. I was a bit nervous having my legs in a blood-pressure device when the bags started to fill but was almost instantly overcome with an amazingly relaxing experience. The boots work the legs in a kneading fashion as if someone were actually massaging them. Upon completion, I had actually dosed off and was left in a peaceful Zen state for the rest of the day. I used the device two more times over the week and saw a wonderful difference in how I felt throughout the week. Therabody boast that this device “Boosts circulation, Reduces delayed onset muscle soreness, Decreases swelling and stiffness, Relieves muscle fatigue”. I will attest that they 100% deliver on these claims. I cannot say that after using, I was perfectly ok, and it felt like I had not been to the gym at all that week. But I can say that I felt better, more limber, and less achy then normal. This system has me questioning my workout regiments. Meaning, normally throughout the week I know I did well due to my level of discomfort throughout the first part of days following a leg workout. Now I am able to push hard without having to sacrifice quality of life. The Recovery Air is well built, easy to use, delivers on advertised promises, and is exquisitely relaxing.

My wife and I are very active we like to workout go cycling rock climb hike and other outdoor activities. I have to say after a good day of being active it's nice to come home and put these on. This take the stress and any stiffness out of our legs. The pressure that it puts out is amazing you wouldn't think a home device would work just as well as one you find in a physical therapy office. I try to wear them as much as possible. I did a 6 mile walk today got done put these on and feel like I can walk another 6 miles no problem. These are Bluetooth you can work it on your phone or on the machine it does the same. The therabody isn't loud at all you have no problem watching TV while using them. You can use both or just 1 qt a time did does include the plug to shut off one of the legs. It is chargeable to take on the go. We have a trip coming up for a big bike ride 3 days and I'm looking forward to taking this with use. You can adjust how much pressure you want and what zones of your legs you want to work. It let's you select the time you want to use them and the time in between when they fill up with air. The only thing I would like is if it would cool your legs off they do get hot in the sleeves. I think if you have poor circulation in your legs this would be a big help I do feel the blood pumping when it's working. It feels great getting all the oul blood out.

These Therabody recovery boots are amazing! High quality in every aspect from the boots themselves, to the pump, and even the mobile app too! The pump that fills the boots are battery powered which is really nice if you want to use these and rest somewhere that might not have a wall socket. And from the time I used it off of a full charge the batteries last a long time. Longer than I had the boots on for each time. It is recommended to fully charge the system before using it. IT has a really nice bright color LCD screen to see all of the settings with adjacent buttons to choose everything you need for your session. Excellent design!! The material is very thick and durable with the boots zipping to close. These are definitely medical grade and not cheap in any way. The tubing that connects again is very thick no risk of puncture or tear as long as you take care of the boots. With 4 separate tubes, each controls one section of the boots . There's a fluid gradual massage from what it feels like to me kind of like someone is massaging your leg one section at a time gradually moving up or down. The boots come in different sizes. You can pick and choose what size works for you by their sizing chart, which worked for me and had a great fit. You can time how long they run and also control the pressure in which you want. They are a little cumbersome to put on but very comfortable once fit and settled. The app is awesome! Very simple to pair up through bluetooth and simple design making it easy to control everything through the app itself. By going to advanced settings you can really tweak how you want to set to the boots up for your session. Overall after using these my legs just feel refreshed. Therapeutic and with me having leg spasms its like having your own physical therapist at your disposal at any time. I'd highly recommend these to anyone looking to buy boots of this nature

I absolutely love these boots, and how easy it is to use. I'm a guy who hates leg day (I do it and I know how good it is for me but I still have a love hate relationship with it). That aside, the Recovery Air Pros are making it so easy to get through leg day knowing my recovery is going to be less painful. I've had about 10 good sessions with them and none of them were disappointing. My favorite is the recovery setting, and going to the advanced feature to raise the pressure to my quad and glutes area for a more targeted treatment. My suggestion is put on a good 30 minute-to-60 minute show, zip up the boots, switch on your favorite treatment, grab a blanket, and sit back and relax. In the box you'll immediately see the simplicity and and setup are a cinch. There is not any fuss so don't be scared by the device. It is very effective and you'll see that the boots fill up with the air quick and doesn't take long. The air fills and deflates in intervals which is a cool feature I did not know it had. I figured it would stay inflated the whole time so that way great as well. The device itself is rechargeable, so for those of you who play football on the weekends or jog like me you'll be glad to know you can toss these in a gym bag with the charged device and keep it handy in case of cramps on or off the field. I can't believe I had not heard of these before since I have the compression gun which has been life saving after arm and back day. I'm a forever customer and if this came with a fully body glove I would 100% be in!

This is not my first TheraBody product, I also have a TheraGun and these are also not my first compression leg devices. This is by far superior to the ones you get for 1/10th the price from the big online retailer. By default these are set for recovery on a moderately low compression setting. I hit the gym or I am active at least 2 hours a day, so I use a higher compression setting. These pump your legs, not massage them. Do I feel better after? Yes. Does this help my workouts? I think so, but it’s hard to tell. The zipper is so much better than Velcro from the knockoff versions. I do have some gripes I can’t fine tune a couple specific areas like I had hoped. Like I want to work on calves and thighs only and can’t. The material is super stiff. The material does not breath and I end up getting pretty warm. If you have other TheraBody products you have to Download another app. These are larger than described, make sure someone measures you twice and save your receipt if you need to swap for another size.

As someone who runs on an average of 10-12 miles a day I’m often left heavily fatigued and seeking treatment to recover every week. As many know how you recover is just as important as you train. The compression sleeves come in 3 sizes depending on height. Once out of the box it was straight forward setting up plugging in and setting desired pressure and intervals. I tested it out for 45 minutes the first day then I Did longer sessions each day. I have to say I felt like I was at the doctors office getting treatment but I was on my couch able to watch football and recover. I have noticed that my fatigue is lessened and my legs have rebounded while not encountering that buildup while having to wait to go to a specialist. If you are looking for a at home recovery device. This is it! The compression is spot on, the quality is top notch. I highly recommend these for any athlete out there looking to have better recoveries.

This was a tough product to review since recovery is so subjective. First, a little background on me. I am very active, and play softball a few nights, volleyball, lift weights regularly, and run daily. With all that going on, I'm almost always sore...and getting older doesn't make things any better. I got the Recovery Air Pro to see if it would help with recovering from my active life. First some of the details about the product...It comes with two sleeves, the pneumatic base station and couple of adapters for different types of outlets or to just use one leg at a time. There is also an app you can download to control some of the settings. I didn't find the app very intuitive or easy to use, but the good news is that you don't need it to use the product. There is research done that shows that this type of system does help with recovery...so there is science that backs this device. I haven't seen how much this will impact me specifically, but I'll keep using it since I did see some improvement. After one of my short runs, I put the sleeves on and used the Recovery setting. The default setting is 30 minutes with a pressure of 50mmHg. Each leg sleeve has 4 zones (roughly the foot, calf, knee/lower quad, and upper quad) and each can independently fill. The app allows you to change the pressure setting for each of the zones...which is helpful since I found the default pressure on the foot to be too much for me. Over the course of the 30 minute session, each zone fills and then releases over and over. Here is where it is difficult to determine how much value this provides. My legs felt better after the first session, but it was negligible. I used this multiple days in a row after working out and I could tell a difference, but I need to keep using it over a longer time period to determine if it really does help with recovering from hard or frequent workouts. Overall, I felt a little better after using it, but need more time with it to see if it works long term.

A much needed device after work

Both my wife and I are always on our feet everyday: she works out and continues to train as a Taekwondo instructor, and I still run 2 miles a day and off to work in the hospital, always on my feet. After a long workout and long day from work, we needed something to help sooth our muscles. We have a Theragun messager and really enjoy using it. Using the RecoveryAir PRO Pneumatic Compression system really gets our legs to ease the tension and soreness. We are not too tall and we’re glad that the SMALL size fit perfectly. We have a 32 inch seam and we’re always worried that it would be too long, and thankfully it fit just right. The zipper runs the top length from the instep of tour foot to the end. Sliding in felt good and easy to get comfortable either on the couch or in bed. The compression machine has a simple set up. You have the pressure gauge (which can be adjusted in increments of 5) and the time. Since we have different needs and sensitivity to pressure, we can adjust the pressure that feels right for us (kind of like a Sleep Number bed). Sitting back while it compresses our legs feels so good. It begins to compress from the feet and works it’s way up to the knees and then the thighs, never getting to tight. I enjoy using it at 45, my wife at 55 each with a 30-minute time frame. After the compression is over, you simply unzip and slide your legs out. I must warn you: do not wear think pants or sweats as you will sweat. Using it bear skin allows better feel as my legs are not constricted by coverings, which may not be even due to if you are wearing baggy pants/sweats. The only issues we experienced is that the device control may get tangled and may impact the pressure. Also, you need to have the device control near you if you need to adjust the pressure because once it is on, you cannot bend your legs. So make sure you have it close to you as untangled as possible. We are so pleased with Therabody. It is a great addition to our home message collection.

These are going to be game changing items for me and my fitness goals. A lot of upside, but some downsides. First and foremost... Sizing. Don't go by your "typical" size thoughts. look at the chart, and MEASURE your actual legs. I am just a hair under 6 foot tall, and I had to go with a medium, and even then it was almost too big. It took me a little while to get it fitted right on my leg, as I have very big thighs and the zipper wouldn't close, but once I got it position right, it is fine. the trick is that your foot doesn't sit flat in the bottom like a shoe, pull the thigh portion as high as it can go, and that is how it will fit. The next piece, which is a small minor thing, there is no left and right. they are both identical. so on one leg the tubes are going to be on the inside of your leg, on the other on the outside. just an OCD thing for some people (like me at first). The pump. It IS battery powered after a charge, which is great... as in some locations, it may not be easily plugged in while using. It is light and easy to move around. Small knock, you have to confirm the bluetooth connection to your phone EVERYTIME you use it. minor nit pick, but is a bit frustrating after you get your self all hooked up and ready to go. But the app is so much easier to use then the front display. So this is the primary reason for 1 star off: - You want to use these soon after your work out, BUT you will want to shower before you do so. As you will be in these for at least 15 minutes if not longer (30 minutes). If you are still sweaty and um... well you know, then these legs sleeves are going to get very funky. - So figure 10-15 minutes post workout, before you can even start to use them, and then the time on them 15-30 minutes. - All said and done, workout, shower, Recovery... it is about 1.5 to 2 hours. which requires some planning. I have been using the Recovery set about 3 times a week, and it has helped out so far... but I know it is going take some time to really know if it is making a difference. I am VERY happy that I got them, as I can cover more of my muscles then the Theragun (pulse) that I have can reach.

Just simply Amazing! My perspective so you understand where I am coming from: competitive bodybuilder (close to IFBB pro card) at 5'8.5" with walk around weight of 225-230 lbs. off-season, 200 lbs. cut. I ordered the RecoveryAir PRO system from BestBuy as a double whammy because of two awesome perks: 1) 2-day fast shipping w/ an unbeatable low-price matching Therabody itself and 2) TotalTech Support / 2-year protection plan for that added peace of mind! So to put it quite plainly, I have been using it religiously the last 3-days I've owned this just to test it out and see if it was truly worth the investment into the ecosystem (as I purchased the full-Compression Top/Vest & Arm-sleeve from Therabody via Amazon for expedited receipt of product), and boy was it worth it! The total compression feel and depth of pseudo-"therapy" is incredible, unless you are exceedingly affluent or wealthy to receive regular/daily massages & PT, this is the next best thing from the comfort of your own home. Almost as a ritual now and as a personal recommendation, it honestly works too as a meditation tool. I simply put on some calming music and just queue up a 30-min session and just close my eyes in a partially darkened setting and wow does this do the trick to relax those muscles and truly reap the benefit. There are no real downsides to this system as I have experienced thus far. My only ONLY gripe is that BestBuy does not carry any of the other Therabody RecoveryAir ecosystem products thereby forcing you to either order from Therabody (who is always out of stock mind you) or Amazon. So personally speaking, if you were on the fence about this, please invest in yourself and purchase this, you won't regret it. Thanks for reading and I wish you best of luck in your recovery and performance progression using the Therabody RecoveryAir PRO.

I played soccer in college and the compression recovery garments we used were no where near as good as these! I really liked the pre-loaded and custom programs. I can either quickly get in to recovery after going for runs or working out, or I also can dial up a custom recovery program if I need to target something specific. Unbelievable product!

To start, I have to admit, being somewhat ignorant to the potential benefits of compression therapy, I was a bit skeptical of these boots and what they could do. After using them, I really am kind of stunned how good they have been for me. For a little background, I am in the process of coming back from a knee injury. Before, and now, I am heavy into cardio. A lot of stationary biking, rowing, and running outside. If I am being honest, it has been a struggle. Being down for some time, and trying to find the right mix of work, rest, and recovery has not been easy. To add to this, my job requires me to be on my feet, all day, for roughly 50 hours a week. In short, by using these boots, I have reduced soreness, weakness, and stiffness in my legs and am even seeing less pain in my recovering knee. They have helped me. Full stop. Everything is built well and has a good “feel.” It is easy to clean (your legs WILL sweat), and the entire set is quite small and is a nice light weight. I think one of my only slight digs is that I wish it came with a case or bag of some kind for transport. That said, it won’t be an issue to pack it all up to take on the road if need be. Setup is quick and easy. It is a rather intuitive process that is not much more than charging up, attaching a few cables, and putting them on. That said, given the nature of the product, you should give the included materials some time to better understand what they are and what they are designed to do. All of this sounds great, but, as with most things, they are no good if you do not actually use them. I very much suffer from this problem. Very much. Here, not so much. They are easy to use. The process from start to finish is pretty quick. They are comfortable. There is an even pressure and fill. They aren’t loud. There is a nice amount of customization (pressure, part of the leg, time, programs, 1 leg, 2 legs, etc…). Lastly, they come from a fairly reputable name in the space. Given the product, and some of the tech involved, it is nice to have that little piece of mind. Ultimately, as I have already expressed, I really like this system. It works for me. The day after workouts, and even simply after long days at work, my legs simply feel better. No question, this is a bit of an investment, but for the convenience, improved physical (and mental) well-being, and a better overall quality of life, it is worth it for me and think there is value here.

If you are reading this; these are for you! Got them @ Clearance price and they are worth full price. I sleep in my and I have them set to stay on. You have to have the control switch on to charge them. They are Bluetooth and download the Therabody Recovery Air app. Everything works great! Be careful if you have to go somewhere; they relax you so well that you may fall asleep. Helps to wake up feeling refreshed! Definitely worth the investment!!

Are your legs sore after an intense workout? Therabody’s RecoveryAir PRO is here to help you recover. I see serious athletes use these leg compression systems all the time online and have always wanted to try one of these out. I decided it was time for me to try one out. All I can say is that these do what they are supposed to, help you recover from muscle soreness and fatigue by boosting circulation in your legs. ===================== SET-UP/SIZING: The product and setup may seem confusing at first but in reality, Therabody has made this user friendly as possible. In less than 10 minutes I was already going through a recovery session. All you need to do is plug the compression boots into the pneumatic device, zip up the boots, and choose or customize your recovery session using the display. I do recommend you read the instructions before turning on the device so you can best optimize recovery for your needs. The RecoveryAir PRO can be used with either one or both legs which I thought was a nice touch. Just make sure to block the other airport with the blocker plug that is included. The compression boots are of great quality and did fit me well. For reference, I got a medium. I am 5’7” and about 165lbs. I have decently sized quads and thought it would be a problem, but the compression boots do offer plenty of space for comfort. I did fit in them comfortably, no problem with sizing! ===================== FEATURES: One thing I like about the RecoveryAir Pro is how customizable it is. Time, pressure control ranging from 20-100mmHg, hold time, and release time are some of the items that can be customized. All this customization can be done using the display on the pneumatic device or the app. Pressure control can also be customized for each of the 4 individual zones. There are also several modes such as isolation and recovery available that have predetermined settings. There is also a warm-up mode that can be used before your workouts! The pneumatic device isn’t that heavy or loud either which is excellent if you need it for traveling. There is also a RecoveryAir app available that can be used to control the RecoveryAir Pro. Unfortunately, I could not get the device connected to my phone. I’m not sure if the app or my phone was the problem, but the device would simply not show up in the app. But you only really need the app if the pneumatic device is sitting far from arm’s reach. This was not the case for me since I always had the pneumatic device by my side. ===================== TESTING: I have been testing the RecoveryAir Pro for the past couple of days and here are my thoughts. I go through a couple of intense leg workouts per week and the RecoveryAir Pro has so far been a huge godsend when it comes to recovery. I usually do foam rolling post workouts and just recently have been adding the RecoveryAir Pro into my recovery routine. In a couple of words, this has made a substantial difference in recovery. The pressure sequentially travels up the leg starting from the foot. This feeling alone is satisfying and comfortable. My first session was around 30 minutes and the next day I could certainly feel a difference in my legs. My legs did not feel as fatigued compared to before. My legs did get sweaty after every session but that is expected. Fortunately, the material used for the compression boots is easy to clean with a rag. ===================== CONCLUSION Overall, the RecoveryAir Pro has been a wonderful addition to my recovery. I do feel that muscle fatigue and soreness have been reduced since using the product. Along with its effectiveness, the device is quiet and comfortable which is great for those late nights at home! I have yet to experience anything negative with the product. If your legs need some extra recovery, I do recommend you try the RecoveryAir Pro out.
