They are awesome. I was lucky enough to find them on a clearance sale, while I was searching for the regular ones. At that price it was an easy choice to upgrade to the pro system.

As advertised. I was a little skeptical before purchase but I’ve been using it two times a night every night and it is worth every penny.

I will start by saying i am an avid cyclist and put anywhere from 600-1000 miles a month on a bike. I very frequently get leg cramps at all hours of the day and night but especially right before I sleep. I’ve been eyeing products like the RecoveryAir Pro for a while now but was never too sure about the brand names I was seeing and what kind of quality they would provide. Enter Theragun, a name that has become pretty synonymous with the whole percussion massage device craze and created a whole new resurgence in these kinds of products. With a name I could trust I was willing to go all in on this product. A few surprises right out of the box. The system is very simple to set up and i the base unit is rechargeable. This is a big selling feature when you’re trying to lay in bed and use it. Admittedly i didn’t realize this until after my first use and it was pretty funny once i figured out i didn’t have to string power across the room. The unit is preprogrammed with multiple cycles for everything from warm up to recovery and is very self explanatory. It’s also very customizable and there are programs where additional adjustments can be made. I do recommend reading the manual so you can understand where each cycle “hits.” This will allow you to tailor the unit to your needs and get the most relief. The leg boots are pretty comfortable and i find that i don’t have to unzip them at all to put them on as long as I’m lying down. Pressure from the unit is adjustable and can definitely squeeze pretty hard if you crank it up. I’d recommend starting easy and working your way up or else you’ll feel like a balloon ready to pop. Learn from my mistakes :) All in all i would say the product is an investment but if you are an athlete that trains hard and wanting the best way to recover after a hard leg day, run or ride it is the one you should absolutely purchase.

This thing is amazing! I had a skating competition this weekend where I competed in multiple events. I brought this in a duffle bag and used it in between my programs and it kept my legs fresher and I was much less sore the next day. At first I wasn't sure whether I would actually benefit from this, but it has made such a difference that I use it frequently after skating training sessions and after longer runs. It's easy to use and honestly, not as loud as I expected. I was afraid the pressure might be painful (think a blood pressure cuff!) but the pressure is soothing and the relief is almost immediate. While it was easy to transport in a duffle, you will need some space to spread out to use it comfortably. I got some strange looks at the competition, but by the end of the day, I was glad to have it with me. This may not be for everyone, especially considering the price, but if you are serious about your athletic performance, you can't go wrong with this.

Gets the blood and lymph flowing

For years in my youth, I rode a mountain bike 20 miles a day, 3 times a week. As I’ve gotten older, I have gotten a few medical issues, one being Rheumatoid Arthritis. I still cycle, but it’s on pavement or concrete and on an Electra Townie Cruiser. Having the opportunity to review the Therabody RecoveryAir Pro System sounded like a good idea. Note: I am not a health professional and if you have health issues, you should consult your medical provider and not my opinion. I researched RA and saw that compression socks were beneficial to the disease. It helped move the body's waste through the lymph system. I figured the RecoveryAir could do the same. After a ride, I put on the leggings and plugged them into the unit. Besides charging the unit, that’s all there is to using it. The rest is learning the settings or setting up a custom program. There are 5 settings. The recover program, which I used after my ride, Warm-up which I may use instead of stretching before exercising, Isolation which lets the user focus pressure on a certain part of the leg, interval I haven’t tried yet but sounds like it changes sides or takes intermittent breaks and custom. With each program, the user can change the default pressure and time. You can do that via the unit or that and more via Bluetooth on a smartphone with the Recovery App. I don’t know about Apple, but on Android be sure to search for Recovery App and not the Therabody App. They are different and the Therabody App is for the massage gun. Using the system is a breeze. You put on the leggings and plug the air hoses into the unit. The plugs have a Therabody logo on one side and that side goes up. There is also a plug to seal one outlet if you choose to only do one leg. After setting it up, you power on the unit with the toggle switch on the back of the unit, choose your program, and press play. If you want to use your smartphone, make sure Bluetooth is turned on, fire up the app and it will see the unit. Pair them and the unit will have you confirm the phone by pressing the check/mode button. From there you can control the session with the phone. I can tell you from my experience that they make your legs feel lighter once the session is complete. They don’t cause any discomfort and really do a nice squeeze on the legs. Each rep takes just about a minute, so a 30-minute session will have about 30 or so reps. I lasted about 22 last night and dozed off for a bit. When I opened my eyes in the recliner, the session was done. I wish I had gotten the small leggings. I have a 30-inch inseam and I was on the fence about which to order. The medium fit and I just leave the zipper about an inch undone. It doesn’t affect the system or bother me, but small leggings would probably be a better choice. Just writing that in case someone reads this and is on the fence also. I’d recommend the smaller size. Finally, I’ve got to say I love the results using this system. It seems to help with aches and pains as well as move my lymph (waste) system. After a session with the RecoveryAir, I drink a lot of water like after a massage. It helps to get the waste moving and out of my body. The day after a treatment, my legs still feel lighter and have less pain in the joints. I can see where I’ll be using this for many years down the road, provided they continue to give me positive results. So far, I’m very happy with how I feel after using them. I’d recommend them to anyone that does physical activities that involve the legs. For any medical problems, I’d say show your doctor and see what they recommend. Always take your physician's advice.

I always have believed that something is wrong with me, because regardless of my years of working out and participating in local races, my legs still get so dang sore after workouts. I have tried many solutions including dietary supplements, ice baths, massage, etc., and I still get sore. But then these boots came to my attention and my recoveries have been improved beyond all recognition! Many people are familiar with compression boot therapy by now. Chances are that if you are reading this review, you have been looking around at compression boots or boots to help increase the speed and comfort of your recoveries from intense workouts. So, I feel that my best role is to tell you more about why you should consider the PRO over the lower trim offerings from Therabody. If you are a tech nut like me, you will really appreciate the wireless smart controls. The app they put together for this system is pretty slick and the ability to have full control over the device with the app is really killer. I like having the ability to control the pressure of each of the four zones as I have learned quickly that my calves basically need to be in a steel vise to get appropriate compression whereas my thighs will be having me tear up if they get squeezed too hard. The compression programs that are included are really slick too. There is one that is called Warm-Up which I think will actually be useful prior to a long bike ride on a cold morning so that I am not all stiff. I appreciate how easy this device is to set up, take down, and clean up too. I am a germaphobe; even towards my own germs, and I appreciate that I can get in here and clean out the accumulation of skin cells and sweat. I also like that the RecoveryAir PRO pneumatic device is compatible with other compression products in the Therabody lineup, so if you buy this package, expandability is an option! Altogether, I think if you are on this product page, you are considering this as a possible purchase and you know what you are wanting to get. You can be confident that this is indeed a PRO level product in Therabody’s lineup, and you are getting a good product. Thanks for reading and recover well!

    Accelerated Recovery

I've been a weight lifter and runner for years, mostly due to my profession. Even though I've weightlift, I'm still no fan of doing legs due to the long, painful recovery. So in preparation of giving the Therabody a try, I had a 3+ mile run followed by an intense leg workout. Immediately after my workout and getting home I placed the compression system on my legs and turned them on. It's amazing how quiet they are and extremely comfortable. The Therabody RecoveryAir PRO delivers the right amount of pressure to help relieve and revive sore muscles. The display is well laid out and easy to use. Set up is a synch and the ease of use reinforce the want to utilize this device after intense workouts. I strongly recommend these to anyone looking for accelerated muscle recovery.

If you are 2-3" (between sizes) I suggest sizing down. Sizing Info: House full of 3 cyclists Person 1 is 5'0" Person 2 is 5'5" Person 3 is 5'11" The 5'11" person fits comfortably, but the legs are about 3-5" short of the inseam. However, they are still able to get the full benefits through the thighs. (If you are attempting to accommodate a range of people, the taller person can size down) Usage: Since using RecoveryAir, I have personally reduced my recovery time after Threshold Training or 65K from 2 days down to 1 day between workouts. We have been cycling enthusiasts for over 10 years, averaging 100+ miles per week. One of the biggest gripes is downtime between threshold training or 30k+ rides. Recovery is the most important aspect when it comes to cycling and it's very easy to overtrain and strain muscles on a bicycle. Currently, I use the "Pre-workout" sequence + traditional stretching to get my legs ready for a ride. I definitely notice a difference in my legs and feel more prepared and "warmed up". The post-Workout sequence is about 30 minutes long and is set to a much tighter setting. You can feel the device flushing your legs, bottom to top. It's actually a very relaxing and rewarding feeling. After just 1 day, I already noticed a huge difference in my recovery and felt ready to get back on my bike for the 2nd day in a row. There is a noticeable difference in overall muscle tightness as well. Overall, there is significantly less muscle soreness and muscle tightness the day after cardio. This alone makes the RecoveryAir a MUST have for any athlete or muscle builder. Circulation is important for the transport of fresh amino acids to build proteins deep inside the muscles you are training. If you are looking to make a serious decision to improve your athletic recovery, this device is a must.

My first concern with things like this is set up and taking care of it. However in both instances I have nothing to worry about. It looks more complicated than what it is but it's not. Quick and fast setup connect this here plug this here and you're done. Taking care of it has been easy too. Just make some space. Now, about the product. I have low circulation and when I go out for walks and runs it usually takes me a ridiculous amount of time to recover. I use these guys twice and I felt good enough to run the Boston Marathon. I love this product and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I have it in my life forever. I recommend you do the same.
