Standard Microsoft controller joystick reliability hasn't been incredible since the release of the Xbox One. I'm sure we all have that default controller that has the joystick drift, which can make or break playing games. I was sick of investing in these units, which is why I decided to try this Thrustmaster out. The quality is incredibly better than any previous Microsoft controller I've owned. On top of that, having the option of modularity in the joysticks, should one start drifting after time, means that this controller should outlast a Microsoft controller (to include the Elite) by years. I will say this, though. If you're younger, or if you have smaller hands, you may have a difficult time adapting to the additional buttons on the back side of the controller. I have relatively large hands and the buttons are seemingly just at the end of my fingertips while maintaining a normal grip. This controller is also significantly heavier in the hands as opposed to your typical Mircosoft controller.

I bough thus controller in Jan 2021 and it is now July 2021. This thing just decided to stop working one day on both my PC and series X. The joysticks slowly stop registering and eventually you lose complete joystick control of the game. The buttons and gamepad work fine. At first i thought it was a new game on my PC but the same exact issue is happening on my series X. This thing has seen VERY light use since i mainly use a keyboard and mouse. I had high hopes for a bigger sized controller with modular options. Ive had a razer controller last 2 yrs and an elite controller last nearly 2 yrs with daily heavy use. This thrustmaster barely had a few days a month of gaming time.

The right thumbstick went out after only 6 months of use, bought a new module, and it doesnt move smoothly around the outside, like theres a bump or something. And it would only move about halfway in the app and in games. The A button double presses every press. Id rather just get either an official controller, or maybe like victrix controller instead. Victrix one year of use, still feels brand new.

It was a good controller only probably was triggers went bad faster than I thought they would so if you are a serious fps shooters the bumpers and triggers are made too cheaply for you to really enjoy the controller to its full lifespan

After replacing the standard controller that comes with Xbox to this, all I can say is Wow. Noticeable difference in response time. It actually seems like when I push the buttons it does what it's supposed to do. The only annoying thing is that it must stay plugged in to work. Not that big of a deal as it comes with a super long cord.

Worth every penny, very durable and extremely precise I am using it on pc and will only play controller with a handful of games after buying this controller I've been using it for almost every game. The software is very in depth for customization and if you ever have a joystick drift or stop working it's modular and that stick can be replaced!

Is it worth the money, I am not sure but I am sick and tired of the official microsoft gaming controller dying after 2 years of use for no known reason (about $70 each) and decided to go for a more expensive, highly rated controller. For me it works how a mid-range controller should work. I have only used it in cyberpunk 2077 so their maybe advantages in other games that I don't know about.

This is a great alternative to the PlayStation controller. I’m a PlayStation type person so using Microsoft controllers is a little awkward for me. So I bought this to be able to setup the controller like the PlayStation configuration. Works out great. Ps: I’m 6’2” so my hands are fairly big. I’ve read that the controller tend to be to big for people with small hands

This controller has gotten me into grand champ in rocket league. It made my car bigger, faster, and stronger. Back to a real review. This controller feels good in your hands and even has that 'good weight' to it that makes it seem way more durable than any other controller I've used. I love the interchangeable analog sticks and D-pad. The cable for it is long and hasn't tangled up on me yet. Not to mention the cable port is... for lack of a better term, sturdy. [You will know what I mean when you first plug it in]. If your looking for a long lasting pro controller that you can show off to your friends, you found it!

Nice build quality, seemed very durable but is way to big, good for people with big hands. Im 24 and 5’6 and this controller is way to big for me. If you really like to grasp your controller like i do then look else where.

This is fantastic controller. It has modules that allow you to set the controller layout to how you like it. There are even kits that allow you to change the colors and style of this controller. Reading more about it on the website, you can even buy other modules for an even more custom experience. The buttons have a quick response and a click you can feel so you know your hitting the button. The clicks remind me of how a good gaming mouse clicks and feels. You can manually remap buttons on the fly, and also assign two separate profiles. The Analog sticks have good tension. They also include convex thumbpads you can easily swap out in case the pre-installed concave style is not to your liking. Lately I've been playing "The Crew 2", and have been doing a lot of PVP racing, which has been putting the controller through the paces. Precision is key to winning races, and this controller delivers. The ThrustMapperX software makes it easy to remap buttons, adjust the sensitivity (up to three zones) on the thumbsticks, and also setup dead zones. It also allows you to fine tune your trigger buttons. I'm glad I downloaded the software because I found out my triggers were set to only 90%. Once I set them to 100% I was able to tell the difference immediately when racing online. I really like this controller, and is the only one I use now. Likes: 1.) Great overall feel in hands 2.) Can change the layout to suit your preference 3.) Can purchase additional modules to customize layout and colors 4.) Included convex thumbstick pads 5.) ThrustMapperX software Dislikes: 1.) I wish the X,Y,A,B pad was swappable/replaceable. I tend to press buttons hard while gaming, and those are usually the first to quit working for me

Awesome controller, the swap things pretty cool, and the app to tweak stuff is also, cord kinda sucks. It definitely is awesome when it comes to latency, or no latency, but its kind of annoying.

Controller felt a bit clunky while playing. It is responsive and the swappable sticks and d pad is an added plus but in the end I preferred the razer wolverine ultimate.
