I would not buy this TV again. Picture quality is poor. Too complicated to set the channels. No way to turn off TV if the remote is misplaced.

Hi, we really thank you for taking the time to write your review as it is of the uttermost importance to read our client's thoughts. We would like to explain that there is a power button on the left side area of the TV, that you can use instead of the remote. Pressing it once will turn your TV on, when it's off (in standby mode). Pressing and holding the key will turn your TV off when it's powered on. In addition to this, a short press can also change the video input source of the set. Daniel T. - Toshiba Support

This Toshiba is a good deal. I've tried others but they have child like volume. This one has excellent dts sound and picture is also very good, not to mention it's internet ready. The only drawbacks are that there are no number buttons and you cannot return to the previous channel if your watching something else unless you scroll back through all channels.

I just wanted a basic HDTV for our dining room. The BBs around us were out of the basic Toshiba TV. I saw this one for $20 more having the Chromcast so I thought I'd take a chance on it. I set it up in about 15 minutes but upon turning it on it came up the Chromecast screen. I had to mess around until I was able to put the TV setting though the input button on the remote. The picture was good and all but we turn it off then back on again it defaulted to the Chromecast screen again and again. I tried programming it through my Android phone but couldn't get it to work. I am boxing it up tomorrow to take back to BB because after a week my patience has about run out.

This basic Toshiba 32" TV is excellent - a steal at the low price with great picture quality and good sound. However, the fact that its smart features operate ONLY on Google Cast make it a pretty dumb smart TV. Set-up and use can only be accomplished through a separate Android or Apple device and is difficult, at best. In our case, three different people tried it with three different devices, and none worked, rendering the WiFi and smart features of this model useless and making it essentially a regular "dumb" TV.

Having to mirror from Android is horrible. Totally not a fan rendering and freezing of device. Insigna is much better and a lot less

If you connect this TV using HDMI look forward to being awoke by it every night when your cable provider pushes out updates. The TV automatically turns on for 5 - 10 seconds then turns itself off. This happens even when you set the HDMI-CEC turned off. I've spent over an hour with Toshiba trying to fix this problem and no resolution. I don't understand how Best Buy can sell these TVs with these issues.

Does not play well with Comcast.

TV sound turns on when Comcast does it's nightly upgrade/system check. Not a serious issue unless TV is in bedroom like mine. I tried 2 TVs and 2 Comcast cable boxes but problem still occurred. I exchanged TV for a different brand. No issues with new TV. No problem with exchange. Best Buy staff was very helpful.
