Great TV...Just not For a Bedroom

Bought this TV to upgrade a TV in our master bedroom. It is a great TV, great picture and good sound (for TV speakers). Set up was easy enough. There are 2 problems with this TV in a bedroom. First, there is a blue “standby” light on the front that comes on when the TV is off. There is no way to turn off this light so it illuminates the room when we’re trying to sleep. I tried covering the light with electrical tape to find that this is also the location for the remote receiver, so having the tape cover the light rendered the remote control useless. Second, the TV emits very faint, high-pitched beeps all the time, whether or not the TV is powered on. These are so faint that in normal setting they are not an issue. But they are an issue when you’re trying to sleep and have the blue standby light also keeping you awake. Nice TV for the right room. Unfortunately, it’s likely not right for me.

What a world of difference between my old 1080P to this 4K 2160P smart UHD w/HDR TV. It was simple to assemble, the instructions were clear and it only too a few minutes before I was browsing through the options. In fact, the TV did all the work. All I had to do was press a few buttons and the TV did the rest. Great picture quality and with the ease of set up, I couldn't be more happier.

I didn't have a smart TV before this and I find that it really opens up the utilization of apps. I got the Fire TV edition and have been enjoying prime, Netflix, etc which are integrated very well into the TV. One thing I will have to do is make the remote a bit more find-able... its small and black and easy to lose and I don't think there is a way to view things/change channels without it.

I like this TV. The picture is very clear. The FIRE TV integration is great which reduces the number of remotes needed. The OTA stations tune in without issue and the listings are a great help. The only thing I am not excited about is that the remote does not have an Up/Down channel option for the OTA. The OTA listings are alphabetical and not numerical. Yes, I can tell Alexa to tune to a station but now I have to remember which station is which (i.e., MeTV is 5.3).

This TV is exactly what I needed. I don't need a lot of "bells and whistles," I just need a good quality TV for a good price. I don't have cable or satellite, I only use streaming services. I was already an Amazon Prime member and using a Fire Stick, but this is even easier than dealing with the stick. Easy to set up, easy to use, good quality sound and picture...exactly what I needed.

The tv works well and has very good picture. Wasn’t expecting the remote being only the fire stick type. No numbers like a traditional remote but after a short time easy to use. Took time figuring out local fios channels and how to set that up but again works great now. If you can’t handle a fire remote then this is not the tv for you. If you are fine with it, then it is a really good tv.

Great TV at an excellent price. Picture and sound are great. The setup was quick and easy. Navigation of the local stations with an antenna is a little challenging. I have not set up the voice remote feature at this time which may make it easier, but I am old fashioned and would prefer just pushing buttons.

My mom had an 32 insignia TV and it was horrible. So needed to upgrade. She wanted to get a bigger screen and better sound. I told her about this one and even the sales rep at my Best Buy, was like this TV. This is a crisp 4K panel. Clean, punchy color. The sound is firing down from 2 8 watt speakers. The Fire Stick OS is very pleasant. Has every channel you can think of. Good TV.

Two weeks in, sand I am very happy with this purchase. For a 43" tv, the picture is good, the inclusion of Fire TV features is a great bonus, and this tv, on sale, was only $10 more than the 1080p version of the same brand and size, which made it a complete "no-brainer" decision. I was also surprised to find that the Fire TV includes a Channel Guide interface, and a short Live Rewind feature so you can go back a few minutes while watching live tv over the antenna (not included). The only things to watch out for are that this tv is best in a dark room, as the screen has a shiny glare. Also, the blacks don't get as dark as more expensive tv's, but if this is not your primary tv that is being used for family movie nights, it is more than fine. The picture is sharp and clear, and 4K quality is deep, bright and crisp, and if you consume a lot of content from Amazon, this is an easy choice. Oh, and the built-in speakers aren't great, so I would invest in a soundbar or an external audio source. But it was a great purchase!

We bought this TV for its price point. It has a really nice picture and size for its price. Lately the screen goes black but the sound is still on, but it reaapears if I just turn it off and on. I don't know if this is a problem with my cable or if the TV itself is doing an automatic shutdown due to inactivitiy. Not really a big deal at this point but may return if the issue continues or worsens. Otherwise a great tv for the price.

TV clarity fantastic! But the features require an Amazon Prime full subscription to work. Remote is scrolling unless you have full Prime. Cannot use smart tv features without. Also puzzled told by Amazon Fire help that the serial number was not number on TV. Began with "G" so very confused. The main Prime account did not work. Remote hard to use. So Smart TV is not Smart without Amazon. Wish I had understood that before purchase but nice viewing.

We bought this tv for our office and the added incentive was the built in Fire Tv. We’re used to Samsung TVs at home so adapting to a different platform took some adjusting to. Streaming Amazon music or Amazon video has been great. For the price we are definitely happy. Picture quality is great and set up entering logins for the tv and apps is easier than other TVs.

This TV is a great update from my 1080p non smart TV that I had purchased on black Friday about 4 years ago. At the time, my 1080p was 200 for a 40 inch, and that was on black Friday! this year, this TV was on sale for 130 for a 4K smart TV! this was a steal and I am very happy with the quality!

Such a good deal! Was going to buy another Fire TV stick for my downstairs TV - regular 42 inch 720 resolution. For the extra hundred or so dollars, I have Fire TV, with quick access to Netflix, along with a quick search menu for live TV that looks like the type you get with cable TV service. This was a bonus feature that I wasn't expecting. The TV is lightweight and easy for one person to maneuver and it has a clean modern look. The screen goes almost to the edges of the box so no ugly extraneous plastic! The 4K screen is great. I notice details in the background now... things that were always there, just never noticed before due to the lower resolution screen we just replaced. It is a SmartHome device and can be controlled by other Alexa hub controllers like the Echo Show, but it was a bit of a challenge to pair these devices and when we finally managed it, we found that the only sound we could hear came from the Echo speaker and not the TV while we 'controlled' the TV through the Echo. All in all, this was a bargain for the price (and even nicer that we got a free Dot with purchase). Definitely a step up from TVs without the smart capability and if you're just using antenna instead of cable for local TV service, the functionality of this TV really enhances your viewing experience.

I bought this last Black Friday and I was going to sell it right away, but I decided to install it and see how this TV performed. I never took the TV down. Great quality, nice sound, and super easy to use. The only thing I did not like much was the OTA channel selection, I wish they had channel up and down buttons, but I can't complain much.
