We've purchased two of this same laptop in the past month, one for me and one for my husband. It's a great laptop!! Does everything we need it to. It's a great price! Loved the fact that office 365 came with it free.

I bought the Toshiba Satellite laptop and I love it. I am not computer swavve but it's simple enough for me to use.

I was not happy I was very disappointed with laptop

i bought this laptop after reading the other ratings, many said it was terrible but i gave it a chance, because i thought the price was great and i could not go wrong, if they were right i would simply upgrade to a higher price laptop and return this one. There was no need i simply made sure i updated windows on the first start and have had no issues since. For those saying more ram its simple to buy more and upgrade but i have had no reason to do so. i am a regular computer user i run several browsers, watch youtube and do web development. it works jut fine for me. i have had a top of the line toshiba in the past and the only issue with ALL their touch pads i have noticed is they tend to freese the mouse pointer ever so often. simply update to their latest mouse software and use the right click then scroll again when it freezes. i think the competitors may be giving this laptop a bad rating because of its great price. great for work(i own my own biz) , college, home use

This laptop looks good and works well. It's a little slow on boot and sometimes there is a little bit of a pause when going to a webpage (not internet speed related) but overall this is a nice unit for the low price. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget or for someone that wants a second laptop to have for a backup. I would buy this laptop again.

Really not a bad laptop for the price. Not the fastest computer and windows 8 is terrible but it gets the job done. Great for college students on a budget. May run better with windows 7 or Linux.

I purchased this as an open box item. I was a little unsure if it would be a safe purchase but turns out, it works great! The volume could stand to be a little louder but it's not a big deal. The most annoying thing is the placement of the mouse pad. My hands are larger than the average and so while typing both of my hands will occasionally sweep across the mouse pad at the same time. Apparently, that type of motion is the zoom shortcut so it's a little annoying when that happens. I'm sure there's a way to turn that function off?! I appreciate the extended numeric keyboard.. it's great for entering numbers! The built in webcam is a plus super easy to access. Winodws 8 alone is fun so that combined with a keyboard that is easy to use and is a Toshiba at an Acer price...you can not go wrong. No problems with it!

Bought it for my son to use was easy to set up and use. Not a big fan of windows 8, but he got used to it. The apps aspect of it was pretty cool though. Might of been more user friend if I'd spent extra and got a touch capable screen.

I'm sure there are better options for a bit higher of a price tag, but for those on an extremely tight budget who need a laptop that can at least perform basic tasks with no issues this is perfect. It surprisingly multitasks multiple open Web pages okay instead of just freezing like my other (older) laptop, it is a tiny bit slow when doing that though. So far I've used it for browsing the Web, downloading pictures off of my DSLR, watching videos like youtube, small easy to run games (like those accessed on websites) and also charging a power bank for my phone. It works excellent for all my needs and I've never had an issue with it as of yet.

I have to say, for the price point of this laptop, I wasn't expected the greatest performance, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is very responsive and had no problems with any of the typical day-to-day tasks one would likely perform, such as email, internet, Office, etc. Don't expect to do any gaming beyond Facebook type games, but, for that price, I wasn't expecting it to. The only thing keeping it at 4 stars was the bloatware, which is typical of any computer you buy at a big box store. Luckily, they were very easy to remove.

this is our 3rd one of these 1 is still working the other the keyboard is goofing up but still works great for the kids and for the price

There isn't much to say about this laptop. It isn't anything exceptional or anything to write home about but it is a 15" laptop for the price of a netbook or chromebook. Really, it's cheaper than many tablets. If you are expecting to play the latest games, or it to be indestructible, or really expecting anything spectacular you will probably be disappointed, but if you have realistic expectations for a $250 laptop you probably won't find anything better.

This will work fine for light duty work. The price is unbeatable. Its kinda slow just opening some larger .PDF files, so just remind yourself of the price and put on your patient pants.

this is a good beginners lap top, a little slow, but was told by sales associate at the time of purchase it was slow compared to other processers, But overall for the price a good buy.

I had to replace a laptop and bought this system for the second time. The computer has good specifications and features and does the job of any non gaming, internet accessing laptop user. The price made it 100 times better a deal.

I bought a Toshiba laptop several years ago and needed an upgrade. This laptop has the latest Windows, a decent amount of hard drive space, and an adequate processor to watch internet videos and work on writing documents. The HDMI output allows this computer to double as a DVD player. It is durable too, I accidentally dropped mine down a flight of stairs and it still works without a single malfunction. It is either a miracle or sturdy workmanship. So whether you are a student with this laptop banging around in a book bag or a professional swinging it around in a briefcase, this computer is for you.

I got an amazing deal on this laptop and it has been outstanding. We primarily use this for surfing the web so the memory is not an issue. I am not a fan of Windows 8 so much, but I think this will get better once I am more comfortable with it. Great computer for the price.
