Upgrading to this modem increased my download speed from 55 to 117 Mbps. It was easy to setup, my range was also extended. I would recommend this advanced modem. This review was submitted as part of a referral progam.

Simple Setup, Great Features, Strong Signal

The Archer C2300 is the most versatile router I've ever tried, and setup is so quick and easy. I used the mobile Tether app, but the web setup option is just as simple. You can manage advanced settings on either platform. It has the usual TP-Link features - parental controls, guest network, gigabit LAN ports, and USB ports. I'm happy to see new features such as built-in antivirus protection from TrendMicro, as well as optional cloud registration for remote management and notice of firmware updates. This product can be used either as a router, or an access point to extend the wireless range of your existing network. I'm getting a very good signal to every corner of my house and even into the patio. The dual core processor provides good speed to every device and there doesn't seem to be any impact to performance, no matter how many wireless devices we've connected at the same time. The TP-LINK Archer C2300 is solidly built with some heft to it. I like the conservative design that TP-LINK went with including the non-obtrusive LED indicators. The buttons and lights are easy to read and understand. Setup was hassle-free as I've come to expect from TP-LINK products as of late. I like the added feature of being able to use the TP-Link Tether app for managing the router outside of a web browser. This, like other newer Archer routers, has eliminated the need for me to use a range extender to reach the opposite side of my house from where the router is positioned. The 2.4GHz signal reaches this area, which was a dead zone when using other routers, and provides fast and reliable connections. My house has many wireless devices and I've noticed no decrease in speed once all devices were switched over to this router. The adeptness with which it handles so many devices is probably due to the 1.8 GHz dual-core 64-bit CPU along with the dual co-processors (1 for each band). The router includes two USB ports (1 USB3.0 and 1 USB2.0) for sharing files and/or printers. I connected a USB drive to the router for testing purposes and had decent read and write speeds (averaging about 100 Mbps). The one complaint I've had with many of the recent TP-Link routers was the lack of an "Access Point" setting. I am happy to report they've finally remedied this and it is now an option in this router. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

Awesome router, good speeds and most importantly it is stable. I have had it up and running for several months with no issues. I have a lot of devices connected and dont experience slow downs like I expected. Overall great product. The UI is also very intuitive. TPLINK has come a long way in the last few years and I would highly recommend their products. *Submitted as part of a free sample program.
