Soooo much better than my garbage Blink doorbell camera! I’ve had this for almost 2 months and it hasnt missed a beat! I love that there are no batteries to worry about ( they are expensive)! This one has a usb charging cable, you use your charging block plugs into any outlet, initially it took about an hour and that charge has lasted 2 months and still has 60% charge even in brutally cold (-3) temperature! It has never lost internet connection! I will buy this again when my other Blink camera dies. Oh and the price is great too!

I bought this as a replacement for our Ring camera. That worked fine, but we're leaving anything Amazon related. They also cosy up to law enforcement just a bit too much. So if you are looking for an alternative as well, read on. Anyway - very easy to set this guy up, and I did so with local storage. FWIW, I've had it installed for just shy of 3 weeks now and with a 128gb sd card and I'm only at 5% usage. I figured it would take very little space, but 128 was the smallest micro sd they had in stock. You could totally use a smaller one unless you want to really be able to go back very far to view videos. The app is pretty good, could use some tweaks of the GUI to make it better, but overall I'm ok with it. I have it on my network, of course, but they don't share stuff with the cops and being that I'm using local storage, the only time that the video traverses the public internet - encrypted - is if I watch a video while not at home. Pricing is incredibly competitive or cheaper than pretty much anything else. Battery life seems decent, I'm at 60% since installation. You can share app usage with other people in your household, but their log in cannot manage the device. Recommended.

I also use it with Alexa Echo Show, and the integration works seamlessly. The motion detection seemed accurate based on my initial experience, but I chose to disable it since I don’t currently need that feature. Two-way audio works very well — both incoming and outgoing sound are clear, making communication with visitors easy and effective. Overall, this product delivers more than I expected in terms of performance and usability. It’s definitely a great value-for-money smart doorbell, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable option without ongoing subscription costs.

Great door camera, work perfectly image clean battery good

I recently installed the Tapos Doorbell, and I must say it has completely transformed my perception of home security. Super easy to connect and install. Appreciate the fact you do not need an ongoing subscription and can add a sd card for video capture and storage. Although when on the trial period the cloud storage worked well. Notifications are prompt, picture capture is clear and battery life so far seems good. For the price I recommend. I do see the newer version with 2 cameras and will say that is likely a good benefit as that second camera will show the ground by your door so you can see packages left. This doorbell with the 2 camera does not capture the ground space.

Love my new doorbell and security camera! It looks really good and I am very happy to see who is in front of my door as well as the wide view of the front of my home!

I like it but if youre in a high traffic area the charge runs out wayyy faster than it says but its good pic quality and i can tap into the front of my home anytime i feel like it.

It's a very good doorbell the image looks super good just a detail that you have to be removing it to load but everything is fine

The setup instructions are not as detailed as I would have liked, but once you figure it out, it's great. Maybe more pictures would help or an QR code to an instructional video.
