Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the Samsung SM-S766C's ease of use and good camera quality as significant strengths. Many appreciate its affordable price and convenient screen size. However, some users express concerns regarding battery life and find the instructions could be improved. A few also point out that the advertised 4G capability is inaccurate.

I purchased this Samsung Tracfone for my father for his birthday an he loves it. My dad went from using a basic phone to a smart phone, I was a little worried he would have a difficult time using the phone since he was moving up in the technology world. For he was just using a basic function phone, with basic calling an texting an moved up to a touch screen, mobile Web, multifunctioned phone. Samsung is great for beginner users especially pple who may be in the older range, it has a function option to set to a simple easy mode. Which only uses simple functions they select instead of having all the extra software. The phone comes with 8 gb of internal memory as well as being able to insert a larger gb expansion external memory SD card. The camera functions are pretty good to front facing camera is a 2.5* mega pixel, and rear facing camera is a 5* mega pixel. It's stock hardware it comes with is jelly bean fairly new still great for a beginner!! All in all my dad loves it an I would recommend this phone for many different pple

After years of using a dumb phone & a pay-as-you-go plan we decided it would be nice to be able to check Google Maps when we're lost. The Samsung wasn't really a choice - all the other smart phones on this plan (TracFone pay-as-you-go) were by a manufacturer notorious for pushing OS updates that brick users' phones - but I'm very satisfied with it nevertheless. Call quality is good, user interface runs fast & is easy even for my fat fingers, & both cameras take nice sharp pictures. Plus it's easy to turn mobile data on & off to conserve your allotment.

Purchased for my wife, her first smart phone. We've used Tracfone for years. Meets our needs with out paying enormous sums for service we don't need or use. This upgrade in service does the same, offering text and internet for a very reasonable cost. The phone meets my wife's first criteria...right size for her hand. Then easy to understand usage. The Samsung class at Best Buy was a nice bonus for her.

The old TracFone service had been dormant for a couple of years, so I wasn't able to restart service. So I needed to start anew. This was several steps up from the last TracFone, which was a talk/text phone only. The Samsung is a great smart phone, not just a great "first" smart phone. Got the triple minutes for life deal. But even better was the Samsung service guy (in the Burlington, Washington store) who went over all the phone's features and made sure I had the correct settings so that I wouldn't be using my data plan when WIFI was available. He put the case on that came with the phone, as well. (case is a simple/plain one...but it does what it is designed to do.) Phone came with a charger and charging cable. I bought a 64 gig SD card in order to get the storage for all my music (the phone is now double the capacity of my IPOD Touch for a fraction of the cost). (Oh...the Samsung guy put the SD card in for me as well.) The Verizon coverage has been outstanding here in the Pacific Northwest as well and has had no problems at my home address which is in an AT&T dead zone.

After being extremely frustrated with the ZTE Valet, I upgraded to the Galaxy Stardust and couldn't be happier. It has a nice size screen and operates like a smartphone should. Very responsive and has run every app I have thrown at it. Lots of internal memory helps with the speed, and will accept microSD card up to 64gb for storing pics and music. The camera could be better, but you really can't go wrong with this TRACFONE.

This little phone is a great starter phone for a preteen who wants a little independence. We already had Samsung phones, so all our phones can use the same type of charger and have the same operating systems. It is pretty easy to learn, and you can still use data over wifi if it runs out. You can even add a micro SD card for more storage.

The Stardust is 'not' 4G, as you have listed it, it's a 3G. I have found that I must turn off a lot of features, to have the battery last longer. I found the Samsung 'beginners' class to be very helpful. Of course the person who sold me the phone was extremely helpful.

I had a tracphone prior to this phone. My hope is to learn the features and get comfortable using this phone so I use it more, so then our next move will be to a family phone plan. It is a nice phone, I bought 3 of this model for my family this past Christmas. It seems to hold a charge well and the screen is easy to navigate. I haven't explored too many of the features yet, but my husband likes it much better than his previous phone. My only complaint so far would be the size of the keyboard when you are texting. Either my fingers are too big or it is on the smaller size, and maybe the bigger sized phones (this samsung screen is only 4 inches versus the 6 inches in models like iphone) have a larger keyboard. Given that we got them on a price match for $50 each, I think they are good phones for the price.

I got this phone because I wanted the minimum monthly cost. I do not use a phone very often biut wanted the convenience of having a phone available. This Tracfone deal is about as cheap as you can get for a good quality smart phone. It is very easy to operate as well.

Was looking for reasonable cost smart phone. Was on sale. Good choice for a simple to use phone. All features work well for my intended use, ie APPS, access to internet, email, and texting. The 4 inch size of screen is more than adequate for viewing.

This smart phone from Tracfone is very easy to set up. WiFi reception is so much stronger than the ZTE, the display is crisp & clear, takes beautiful photos--summing it up--I'm very happy with all the great features. I would definitely recommend buying this phone.

I love this phone! I live out of the country for part of the year, so this phone is perfect for me. Simple to set up and use. Has all the perks of phones which are much more expensive. Battery life is excellent. The Tracfone rates are really reasonable, and the ability to purchase separate minutes for web browsing is really helpful.

easy to use, clear screen menu, however not good connection in building when making and receiving phone calls. Better than the ZTE Valet that never got phone connections inside.

Since my previous Samsung Galaxy Centura was proclaimed a total washout by no less than four of your (Samsung's) Service technicians at two different Best Buy Stores (and lasted only about eight months before locking up terminally and dying) I am very skeptical about this new Samsung Galaxy Ace SM-S766C 4G with 8GB Memory. So far (about three days) things seem to be mostly going O.K., but I'll have to try a lot more things and see how they work before I'll feel any way comfortable about this phone doing the job.

This is hands-down the best cell phone I have ever owned for features and reliability. I suffered through the ZTE Valet with its annoying habit of needing a battery re-seating at least once a month and the Samsung Galaxy Centura with its relentless lock-ups. No more! Nice job, Tracfone!

I agree with the other reviewers. So much better than the ZTE. Everything about the phone is wonderful. To be fair, this phone was made in 2015, two years after the ZTE. Phones change so much every year. Love the Samsung rep in bbs. Transferred everything from old phone to new phone. What a time saver.
