I looked at all the reviews for this and searched specs, etc so ordered it as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, it would not work with our standard front door. (Device didn’t have a dead bolt & not secure) We sent this back, ordered a higher grade that Best Buy doesn’t carry. This one we could install but after only one week, it stopped working. After multiple attempts to reboot, etc, it just stopped working. Had to send it back. The company sent us another one. Don’t know if it works yet. Hassle.

This is an ok locking system but very difficult to set up. Digital screen can not be seen in daylight

This is awesome, easy to install. Perfect lock! Make sure to capture you prints right.

The fingerprint works if you're lucky on the 10th try. The keypad went out twice on mine. They replaced the first time. Second time, I cut my losses and threw it in the trash.

Complete piece of garbage. Also I learned after trying to troubleshoot, anyone with a bluetooth device can easily hack this lock. More times than not the fingerprint reader doesn't work either.

Already replaced once. Just too many problems. Go with another brand if you can. I was stuck because we don’t have deadbolt

My Ultraloq worked well for about a month, then I realized that the Bluetooth connection never worked, the batteries discharged fast and would not lock if the connection went bad. I did not feel comfortable know that anyone could just open my door whenever the lock defaulted so I brought another brand. It's hard to contact customer service as well.

The lock works fine but the smartphone apps for this product always indicate a low battery even with brand new batteries. Looks like a design flaw and the manufacturer has yet to provide a resolution.

This product is rubbish. It failed within the warranty period (clutch failure) so they sent me a replacement unit. The replacement also failed, but just outside the 12 month warranty period. Now U-Tec tell me bad luck, out of warranty. Fair enough, if that's the way they want to play it. I'll broadcast to the whole world what I think of their expensive rubbish products. Save your money potential buyers, buy something else. $200+ is too much money to spend on a door lock that breaks down twice in 18 months leaving you with a useless piece of expensive junk.

Easy to set up. The outside unit looks very smart on the wall beside the door and makes the house look as though it is alarmed. This is the worst experience of any tech product I've had.

The fingerprint function is erratic and unreliable. You will endure much frustration. The display cannot be seen in daylight.The handle fell off after a few months. The brushed nickel body is pitted even without rain exposure.
