Magnificent Movie. Kate Beckinsale looks beautiful in this movie. Especially when her eyes turn blue. 4K Must buy for one of The Best Vampire Movies of All Time.

Love the steel book cover. This is perfect for my movie collection. I have been slowly working on changing all to steel book. Love it!!!!

Loved this series and didnt have it in my already vast dvd collection so i had to have it as soon as i saw the cool steelcase cover. :)

I was excited to see this 4K cut of Underworld, and it didn't disappoint. The picture and sound were incredible, and for those with the TV's to support it, you will see a lot of great detail. As far as the films go, I was disappointed that the 4K cut was ONLY for the theatrical release, not the extended cut. That version is included as a blu ray, but has not been post-converted. On the plus side, they have done something I've wanted to see them do for years; re-cut the flashback footage with Sonja and Lucien in the first film, with the same scenes from the third film. It's seamless and provides way more continuity to the films. Strange that they did not draw more attention to this when this released as I think it really adds to the value of this release and will put a smile on the faces of the long time fans. Anyway, great release and now I'd like 4K cuts of Evolution and Rise of the Lycans, please!!

The Blacks and grey tones in this Movie really pop in 4K!

This movie features vampires battling werewolves with a unique twist in that it takes place in contemporary times. The scenes reflect this by having them shoot each other with modern guns and weaponry while still having the classic quirks such as sun evaporating vampires and silver easily killing werewolves. The story is fun while possessing a strange twist at the end. The Steelbook artwork looks amazing, taking a different perspective by having a cartoon-like quality to it. In addition, this art depicts a scene from within the movie, adding to the charm of the Steelbook itself.

Who doesn't love this series of movies. So I'll review the 4k quality. This movie is shot entirely in dark scenes, night indoors, subways, tunnels, etc. So HDR goes out the door. Nothing to wow you or your buddies you're trying to convince about this new 4k format. Very grainy all throughout the movie but that's how it was shot. It works for the movie but not the 4k format in my taste. It just highlights the grain even more lol. Close ups of Kate are stunning lol I'll give the format points for that but other than face close ups. 4k quality is just a bit better than Blu-ray in my opinion. Now audio tracks. Atmos is where you feel and hear the upgrade and your money worth. PQ 4K 3.5/5 AQ 4.5/5

I am a fan of the cult classic Underworld films. As for the the 4k transfer, you may not be wowed by colors in this film do to its bleak palate, but it benefits greatly from HDR. The Dark scenes are much better, and the Grey palate makes all other colors pop. This is the best way to watch Underworld.

Movie: Underworld is a thrilling take on classic monsters and mixes both science fiction with ancient legends. I've enjoyed rewatching it since it came out in 2003 and it still keeps me on the edge of my seat. Steelbook: This franchise proves that steelbooks don't need interior artwork all the time. A vibrant solid color is used for each film. The blu-ray itself is the same disk used for the 2007 release.

I'll admit it, I've owned the DVD and the Blu-Ray versions of this movie. And, each format has only improved this dark masterpiece. But, I wasn't prepared just how much more detail there was in the 4K format...(I just hope they release the rest of the series in 4K)...If you loved this movie, you are going to love it in 4K

The fact that extended versions are being advertised as unrated isn't anything new anymore. The fact that the Extended Version of Underworld is called so is quite confusing because no material that would have deserved this label has been added and the MPAA most probably would have given it the R-Rating as well. The additional shooting scenes do not exceed the overall degree of violence in the movie.

If Trinity from the Matrix had her own movie--wait, no. Aside from kicking bad guy butt like a boss, wearing black leather clothing, fighting for and believing that a stranger can save their respective worlds, well. . . if you liked Matrix, you'll love the Underworld. Especially, in terms of the entire series as a whole, the character backgrounds are well-developed, and, unlike the Matrix, Selene, a woman, is the protagonist.

I personally think this was the best entry in the Underworld franchise. I like all of them, except this one to me is probably the better of the five. I can't imagine anyone better to play Selene. It's action packed and the story is pretty interesting as it also ends up being the complete opposite of what Selene thought. If you like werewolves and vampires, go watch this film.

I've seen every Underworld movie made in the franchise and this movie is at the top of my favorite vampire & lycans horror & action movie favorite list. The Underworld series may have its ups and downs about each movie but watching beautiful Death Dealer Selene (Kate Beckinsale) in every scene is amazing. I think she's a hottie. Good acting & killer action. Love it.
