I got this to attach my GoPro Session to my Giro vented bike helmet. The strap idea appealed to me because I didn’t want to use on of the sticky mounts. It does just what I wanted. Two thoughts though: You really notice having the weight of a camera on your head. I usually tend to forget my helmet is even there, but not with the extra weight of the camera. They’re small but dense. Later I wondered whether putting a hard camera cube on ones helmet was a great idea. If I’m ever in a crash, I really don’t want to have a GoPro surgically removed from my skull. That led me to invest in a handlebar mount, but I’ll probably still use the helmet strap on occasion. Bottom line is this thing delivers what it promises. If you’re looking for a helmet mount, I recommend this one.

I love this mount for helmet attachments when I inline skate or bike ride, but the real magic of this particular mount is its versatility. When I want to mount a camera in a stationary position (i.e. above looking out at the action), this is the way to go. For instance, when I record my serves in tennis, I mount the camera on the chain link fence surrounding the court and it holds incredibly well while at the same time being easy to install. Initially, when I got the urge to record my serves, I thought of using the Roll Bar mount around the narrow twists in the chain link fence and that became a pain. With the vented helmet mount, I simply slipped the nylon straps around the wide part of the chain links and proceeding to tighten them down. The camera doesn't slip at all over time, even when I hit record around 40 times during a practice session to create new clips.

The strap worked okay with my helmet and I was able to get great video. The straps had to go through the vents on top of the helmet instead of the front, which I would have preferred. It still got the job done and was a great product for the price.

This vented mount works great on my mountain biking helmet for my Session. The Hero3 is a little heavy to wear on the helmet but it does hold them both in place.

I use this strap for everything from mountain biking, snowboarding, dirt bike riding as well as bike riding for my 2yr old on his balance bike and this thing has held up well. I like the fact that the straps clamp in to the mount rather than a velcro type enclosure as you can really crank it down tight. Overall I think it's pretty over-priced as most all GoPro accessories are. It's not like they're made in the U.S.A, the generic brands seem to be just as good for a fraction of the price. My friend has one from an accessory kit purchased through BB and it's just as good.

Helmet strap works as described. It's a little ackward when riding since you have extra weight on your head, but it works. Great price with a pricematch.

This item offers a very steady and secure mount for my GoPro Session on my bike helmet. The videos are smooth without jerking or wobbling.

Im a cyclist so this strap comes in handy when mounting to my bicycle helmet. Super easy to take on and off, great accessory to have on any trip.

Not much to say about the GoPro strap other than its easy to use and should be really durable for all types of helmets and extremities.

This is the cheapest way to get fairly steady gopro footage for biking. Helmet mounted video is a good look. If you can't afford a chest mounted gimbal then this is the best 2nd option. The one downside is for XC helmets. The gopro sitting up top is a little heavy if you are used to just the super light helmet. Id give it a try.

I go mountain biking down rocky trails and the strap has not fallen off and the footage looks great strapped to my helmet and go pro

If you bike and want to capture your experience, you'll need this mount. Make sure to tighten the strap as much as possible.

My teenage daughter used this mount on her helmet during a 4 wheeling tour in Costa Rica. We see what she was looking at.

I have a racing helmet that is all vents and roundy corners. This makes it so much easier to mount on my awesome helmet.

I picked up a "kit" that had a helmet strap. It would not tighten. This one was easy to setup and works great.

It was less expensive than I originally thought and it works like it was supposed to - no complaints!

I use this to film road races and crits. I have crashed with it on a few times and my GoPro stays perfectly fine. Works well. Must have a vented helmet to use it. I like it better than the adhesive mounts.
