Sound bar would sometimes not turn on and would require me to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work again. Returned for a refund.

First impression was very happy with the vizio app. The remote it comes with is useless. I am not sure why they include it. You will never use it. The app however allows you to control the EQ. The best feature is the center speaker. Every sound system has low dialog and overly loud effects. This soundbar has the option to do volume leveling. But better is the center speaker and the ability to crank that up through the app. It makes the dialog as loud and clear as you could want. I found I needed to try different profiles. Movie, Music, or Direct. Direct seems better in some cases. The sub-woofer can go under the couch, which us a plus because I wanted a simple system, not a bunch of speakers. You can hear the upward facing speakers very clearly when you run the onboard sound test, but you aren't going to get a true atmos effect. It's subtle, but you can't expect much more than that. Any sound bar with atmos lacking multiple speakers is going to be a subtle effect. I have hated Vizio since I tried their TVs and the TV would crash like a stupid computer, because they are heavily software based. One time so far the speaker would not play, and the only way to fix it was to unplug it. So I'm keeping an eye on the reliability. I like the product, but if it's going to crash, that is unacceptable. The odd part is this was just priced for approx $269 and now it's over 400.

    Annoying

This sound bar is great when it works. My issue is that the soundbar will decide not to work. Being that the bar is connected to my tv through an ARC to Arc connection this is highly frustrating. The only fix I have figured out is to try and reset the soundbar and tv and hope they talk better together. I’m currently looking for a different soundbar. Shouldn’t have went with a Vizio.
