I liked the sound quality of this soundbar but ultimately returned. I absolutely couldn't get eARC to work with my Sony x90j TV.

Dont pay more than the sale price. While it is a solid system it has quirks. I think the sub could be more powerful. The rear speakers dont seem to match well with the soundbar in certain modes. Sometimes the rear speakers overpower the soundbar and vice versa depending on whats playing. The adjustments dont seem to do alot in tuning the sound. Would be nicer to have more control to tweak the speakers. This system is better than the cheaper 2.1 bar i have but i wouldnt pay more than $400 for this system. I expected more and thus far its a good system but need to dial this thing in and hopefully get better sound out of it.

Hello Chris, VIZIO’s Sound Bar audio systems are designed to give you a realistic theater experience. You should hear the bass rumble during explosions, planes flying, earthquakes, action scenes, and anything that would normally have a deep tone. You may not get these tones when watching something like a sitcom or the nightly news. If you have a VIZIO television there is a channel on the ‘Watchfree’ service that plays action movies with no subscription or rental fee, this might be a good place to find some content to test your sound bars limits. If you are already watching content that should be giving you bass, visit support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’. We’ve got agents ready to chat, text message, or speak with you on the phone to adjust settings and help optimize your sound bar.

My wife and I purchased a Sonos sound system 6 years ago. A couple of weeks ago we purchased a new tv with the eArc plug. Unfortunately our Sonos bar didn’t have that hook up. I thought I would try to different sound system, instead of upgrading the Sonos bar. Purchased this one. It’s not bad but after having the Sonos it just didn’t match up. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t a Sonos. Took it back, bought a new Sonos, and I’m really enjoying it.

Great when it worked, poor quality power supply

Impressive speaker setup while it worked. After about 8 months the power supply began making a constant humming/buzzing noise while it is plugged in. Even when the sound bar is powered off but plugged in it makes this very annoying humming noise. It is especially annoying and noticeable during quiet scenes in a movie

I like shopping at Best Buy because the prices are very competitive and I have had no problem ordering the product I want and need. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I am really enjoying the new sound system I purchased. It does everything I need a surround system I need.

Packaging was bizarre and hard to open, as well as not eco-friendly. There's no manual. The mounting hardware, especially for the "surround" speakers (Vizio calls the woofer a "sub-woofer" and the sub-woofers "surround") don't allow them to be turned or rotated. The speaker test for the woofer ("sub-woofers") is a slight rumble, not modulated to be intelligible.

I finally threw in the towel after 1 year and 2 months, just a little bit past the warranty expired. The reason was that this system worked *sometimes*, but other times it would fail spectacularly in different ways. Somehow it came back to life eventually, through copious power resets, firmware flashes, and prayers. I decided it is finally dead. It NEVER worked consistently, right out of the box. Disconnects, crackling, bluetooth not being able to pair. Speakers literally not responsive at all, no sound even from the speaker test. There are probably other ways it messed up that I can't remember.
But hey the sound was pretty good when it was working. However, don't kid yourself -- Atmos in these soundbars is WORTHLESS though. Don't buy the hype, get the more consistent and cheaper 5.1 without the "Atmos" channels.

I have to do a lot of fiddling with it, and I'm not sure I'm there yet. If the Bluray player was trying to do Dolby Atmos, it would always be out of sync, unless I plugged it into the HDMI in on the sound bar. Content from the TV itself was fine (I have a Vizio). A couple of times over the past few weeks, the sound has gone out, requiring a hard reset (unplug, plug in), so I'm putting it on its own power strip to make that easy.

The sound bar blows me away with the sound quality for the money. However the hdmi cord that is supplied with it is junk and causes the sound to drop out. Now I am having problems with the unit not finding the sound signal and the only solution to fix it is by getting up and unplugging the sound bar and waiting a minute or so to plug it back in. Because of this I am on the fence about returning the sound bar as this is super frustrating.

Not impressed at all. The bass and rear speakers are truly lacking on this unit. The sound from the actual bar is excellent, wish the rest matched. And it doesnt work with the app?!?! What the heck!! I have an older Vizio 5.1 that sounds much better overall. I returned.
