    to improve my sound system greatly. Great for rear sounds you might be loosing that comes out clear.

    The soundbar I received kept getting stuck on mute. Vizio tech support had me disconnect everything and set back to factory setting andcreboot TV, cable also. That didn't work so they had me download software update onto thumb drive to update the unit because the software was out of date. The unit would not take the update so they sent me a replacement but held the cost of the replacement on my credit card. The replacement Vizio sent would not turn off. Bright white light flashing and neither power button or remote would turn it off. Called support AGAIN they had me unplug it and hold power button down while unplugged to "get excess electricity " out of it. He said I would probably have to do tjis once a werk. WHAT?!?! This happened again only no matter how many times I unplugged it it kept blinking. Had to leave it unplugged overnight. Called Vizio AGAIN and now they want to send a second replacement and won't give me vack my money. They think it's that simple to unpack, set up, disconnect, unpack a new one, set up a new one again, pack it all up in the box again and drive somewhere to drop it off. I have never had such a bad experience with an item before, ever. I had a Altec Lansing soundbar for 13 years, never had to trouble shoot it once! Now I have try a THIRD unit? Like 2 out of 2 don't work, lets throw another one at you? I don't want another one and don't have hours of extra time trying to get something with a $500 price tag work correctly right out of the box. I will never buy anything with the Vizio name on it again. It will be interesting to see if this review even gets published.

    First off, I wanted to comment on the totaltech technician Julian and Jeremy. They were outstanding. Julian has that gift to explain complex issues and do so without talking down. A gem of an employee. They replaced the HDMI cables with upgraded cables, synched the QN85B tv with the soundbar and speakers and explained how to adjust the system to custom personal choice settings along with hooking up our existing receiver, tuner and 4 speakers separately as the receiver and tuner did not have the video out receptacle to run through the tv. We felt really blessed with there outstanding service. Get totaltech it is great insurance and eliminates the wasted time and effort on your part and is correctly installed, tested and explained.

    I was stoked to get my new sound bar. I currently had a Sony 7.1 theater receiver which for all my fiddling and upgrading speakers has left me wanting to hear voices clearly and not being able to. The Sony had no real way of adjusting for this and I thought this unit might have clearer voice output. I could not be more wrong. I was very, very underwhelmed. It sounded almost exactly the same. Volume goes from silent to almost uncomfortable, certainly not nearly loud. The speakers are clear enough but they are either cheap or there is not enough watts behind them. They will not reproduce the highs of a good stereo nor good midrange that doesn't sound like dashboard speakers. I cannot attest to the quality of the speakers in the sound bar but by the sound, they are NOT good. Everything sounds as if it is coming from a little wooden box. You have to get within 8 feet of the atmos speakers to realize any height from the bar. I played Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon because I know ever sound, word and instrument played on a good 4 channel stereo. It has one of two problems, or both. The amplifier is of poor quality and lacks the power to drive the speakers or the speakers are of very poor quality. So far I think it is both. I am going to get some adapters from RCA to wires and try hooking up my large floor speakers. If they don't make it sound better, I will take whatever loss and send the whole thing back. All the reviews I saw were dead wrong or they set it up in a small room. I will update this afterwards, but for now, it gets a single star and considering the cost, it doesn't deserve that.

    I plugged this in and though I would have a lot of set up to do, boy was I wrong! I hit the volume button on the tv remote and it started to play. The sound is even better than I had Imagined it could be.

    The sound bar itself is good, but it is hard to make that assessment when you can't hear it, since it doesn't want to connect via ARC 95% of the time. Works fine with optical, but what's the point of having Atmos capabilities if you're stuck using optical? I said the soundbar itself is good, because the subwoofer is terrible. Output is anemic. There's a lot of thumping, but very little actual bass. I really wanted to like this thing based on reviews. Firmware update did nothing to help any of these issues, and seeing as the firmware update affects several models of Vizio soundbars, it's probably best to stay away from Vizio altogether

    It has great sound but it keeps turning off off and on got in touch with Video Support They sent me AUS B to update the firmware but it still turns off and on uggh
