    One speaker has been having issues lately and I’m no longer within my return period so nothing I can do.

    Sound bar with no sound

    My setup is simple: DirecTV box and Apple TV to an HDMI switch, the switch then feeds into the sound bar, eARC out from the sound bar into ARC on a Sony TV. From day 1, when the sound bar was turned on, it would flash "switching to TV speakers", then flash "switching to external speakers". It would repeat this a few times then settle on external speakers (itself) but the sound was always muted. Last night (after 3 weeks) it cycled through this dance 4-5 times, but then there was no sound anywhere. It was getting a signal because the picture was fine. Just no sound on it or the TV, making sure everything was unmuted. Power cycling the sound bar, unplugging and re-plugging all the HDMIs did no good. No sound from the sound bar or TV. I can't find a way to force it to use one set of speakers or another. Tech support is clueless. When it worked, it performed OK. Reasonable bass, decent sound field. But when you turn it off one night, and turn it on the next day it it won't work, it isn't worth the hassle. Especially with no idea how to get it to work again. It's being returned today. Never again will I buy Vizio.

Switches can cause issues with signal crossing and delays with any devices connected. It would be recommended to test your devices when connected with HDMI connections directly to your TV.     This sounder sounds great in the beginning, Has very superb sound. After several days my surround speakers are cutting off, I have to turn off then on the subwoofer. It worked for awhile but it will agin cut of the surround speakers, I tried updating the firmware and it doesn't upload, the firmware remains the same. This is a piece of garbage.

    I've had the Vizio 5.1.2 Series for a year now. Sorry but I'm not getting the same experience as most of the reviewers. Maybe it me? I've constantly played and changed the settings and still not impressed. Very little to no base and lackluster surround sound. I enjoyed my last Vizio ($200.00) system much better.

    Bought to replace Logitech computer speakers. Sound was papery/flat even after adjusting available parameters. The low end just had no oomph, no presence. My $200 logitech computer speakers had much fuller, richer sound in comparison. Returned.

    The audio on system drops completely via hdmi-arc every time you put the unit in stand by and turn it back on. Latest firmware did not fix the problem. You need to power down the unit each time to get back the audio. System sounds good when working.

    Doesn't work! Constant freezing out of box. Never worked well w/ ARC or eARC. Have to hard unplug power cable to reset. Updated to latest 1.3 firmware. No help. Troubleshot for over 3 hours. It shouldn't take this much effort to make a soundbar work. Taking back for refund.

    Good system but refurbished has issues. I have to hard reboot by unplugging every time i want to use. Not great user interface either. Hdmi not working
