I remember “surround sound” home theaters from 20 years ago: they were complicated, expensive, and continuously exasperating. When setting up this system, I expected a few hours of frustration, but within 15 minutes I had everything up and running! The wireless pairing of the subwoofer and the two upward firing remotes works flawlessly and is a wonderful design to eliminate cables coming from the soundbar itself. The wires from the subwoofer to the remotes are easily hidden and do not make our TV room look cluttered. The soundbar itself is handsomely designed. After a brief period of time, I found it not obtrusive at all when viewing programs and movies. Perhaps the most difficult part of set up was opening the box; be sure you have a box cutter knife handy when liberating the contents of the well-sealed packaging. There is a gradual learning curve in making any adjustments to the sound levels with the supplied remote. I still play with this from time to time to get the best immersive audio experience. Making some adjustments to the position of the subwoofer and elevation of the upward firing remote speakers has also helped. I am incredibly pleased with the final result- without exaggeration, I feel like I am sitting in a movie theater when I stream Netflix. The subwoofer, in particular, is capable of a bass that booms like a kettle drum. The trebles are sweet and clear and seem to float effortlessly from every direction. The ability to stream via Bluetooth from a phone or computer is a valuable feature, that transforms this system into a home entertainment center. I understand one can also pair a voice assistant with the soundbar, but I have not tried this. In conclusion, I find the Vizio Soundbar to be a wonderful value. Given the affordable price and easy set-up and adjustment, the magnificent theater-quality sound is an incredible reward. My only regret is that I waited so long to try a home theater system again, but I am very glad that I have it now.

I purchased the Vizio soundbar last year, and I must say, it has completely transformed my home theater experience. The surround sound is nothing short of amazing; it immerses you in the audio like never before. The highlight for me has been the Dolby Atmos experience. It's the best I've encountered, delivering stunning audio precision and depth. Setup was straightforward, and the soundbar's design blends seamlessly into my living room. I highly recommend the Vizio soundbar.

What you get for this price is a great sounding, easy to use package that melds nicely into pretty much any home environment. I set me up easily with me bedroom TV with a single supplied HDMI cable. It set up and interfaced in a matter of minutes. Been enjoying it ever since.

Was in the market for a sound bar with good base, and this was one that was recommended often online. Great base and a great setup all around. Love listening to music and watching movies in atmos. Compliments my LG Oled well.

This thing is absolutely amazing for the price, really the sound is great. I recommend already having the sound setting is “Direct” mode so the volume comes out as the creator intended and how many channels it uses. The only issue and it’s a big one is CONNECTION ISSUES. It wouldn’t automatically switch when I would want to play Xbox and than would switch when I wanted to use my Apple TV. I updated the software and it got fixed. Yay! But a week or 2 later it’s doing it again. I know it seems like a small issues but that’s what the ARC/eARC Porte are for and my Sony soundbars never had an issues. Maybe it’s my TV but from searching around the internet it seems like many people have the issues. However, give this a try! You can always return it.

If you’re a BASS guy like me, I highly recommend VIZIO, their BASS is KICKING!! Especially this 5.1.2!! This Soundbar is the BEST!!!

This bar has the serious potential to put out better sound than anything under $1000, and when it works, it does exactly that. However, it's plagued by numerous severe software bugs mostly caused by its implementation of eARC and the way it manages the initial handshake and resulting data transfer. On my Sony X90H TV over eARC, I get sound drop-outs, inconsistent volume levels between similarly mixed content, complete failure of eARC handshake (can't be controlled by TV remote), inability to put out any sound (requires multiple power cycles til eARC handshake works), and getting stuck at max volume without volume adjustments making a change. All of these come in random combinations or alone and completely ruin what would be an otherwise perfect experience. If you don't have a TV compatible with eARC and will just be operating over ARC or a standard connection, you'll likely not have these issues, but anyone looking for a future proof solution or to be on the cutting edge, this can break your entire audio chain, serving as the least reliable part of gear in your kit. The handful of software updates released so far have not solved these issues and I'll be returning the bar out of lack of confidence in Vizio to get this system working smoothly anytime in the near future.

I was originally a fan of Vizio products and have regrettably recommended them to many in the past. I will do my best to warn everyone of my experiences in an effort to undo my now faulty recommendations. Why the one star: in just less than 1.5 yrs, the wireless sub will no longer connect. Ergo, the rear speakers will no longer work either. I've attempted to re-pair and restore to default settings and also spent too much time repeating the steps with Vizio tech support. Unfortunately because it was outside of warranty there is nothing further they would do. The soundbar itself still works, but without the supporting rear speakers and sub, the soundbar itself is only a minor improvement over the TV speakers and is very underwhelming. When it did work, the system sound was good considering the price point. I was satisfied with the bass despite the small size of the woofer. I never did notice much of difference with Atmos content and my ceiling height is 8.5'. If this was the only time I experienced an issue I would not be inclined to write a review. However, this system replaced a higher end Vizio soundbar and subwoofer... this unit died completely, also in less than 1.5 yrs. Not to mention I have had two smaller bedroom tv's from Vizio that died. One in less than two years, and one in less than three. My first Vizio product ever is a 60" smart TV that is now 12 years old. I have since donated it to my in-laws and it is their main tv and still works flawlessly. This tells me their manufacturing quality and/or component quality on the newer products is not the same as it was when they built their brand. BUY VIZIO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Saw many good reviews so, I decided to give this system a try. I was blown away! The sound quality is great and the effect of the surround sound is fantastic. I don’t know how they do it but it feels like the sound is coming from many different places. And, the price point is great, feels like I should have should have paid quite a bit more for this system. The only issue was that I could not get it to work with HDMI connected to my Samsung TV (seems like a common issue) but, the optical connection has proven to be great.

Best sound bar set up you can get for the price. Truly an awesome movie/game/music experiment when set up properly.

Excellent sound quality and ease of connection. The only downside was an update required for proper playback via PS4 and games requiring "HDMI IN" as the input source vs "HDMI eARC." This mysterious loss of center channel had me scratching my head for an hour, and -almost- took away a star, but... it sounds so good, and those wireless speakers. Thumbs up.

I was lookimg for a surround sound for my bedroom. Im really impressed with the sound quality from Vizio. Im really into stereo systems and know my stuff. So when i say its good, it is. Everyone i've shown has been impressed as well.

Very nice sound. We downsized from a huge subwoofer and 5 surround speakers, so we were leery that it would be enough. It's great.
