Great TV For a Great Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon reading the reviews I was little torn on buying the Vizio 4K due to a few negative reviews and had considered the Samsung. I've had great luck with Vizio in the past as all my TV's are Vizio so I decided to take that leap. I'm not a person who buys new technology until it's been out a while as I like the kinks worked out before I make the purchase. I wanted the 4k TV so I went ahead and bought it. The picture is vivid and the colors are clear and bright, however, at one point my screen went out and had snow on it. This is the reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5. I don't know if it was the TV itself or the Direct TV.

Excellent value for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much research online I purchased the Vizio M55 C2. It set up good right out of the box after switching the Store Display mode to regular mode. I did make a few adjustments to suit my taste. This unit replaced a 5 year old Vizio 42" which we never had a problem with. Watching the NFL game opener was just like being there in person. Colors were brilliant and picture sharp as can be. Blacks are black and the Motion Blur and Judder adjustments are set to just about minimum. Some reviews state that broadcasts from TV stations appear washed out. This is true of any signal broadcast that is not HD. All channels that are marked HD look great CON: Reason for 4 rating. Didn't realize until I did the setup that there are not any provisions for controlling the cablebox and I am now required work with two remotes. This was done with just one the Vizio remote on the old 42". BAD! Now have to go back to juggling two remotes. Very confusing for my wife and I have to show her every time she turns the set on and off or tries to change channels.

Very Good TV for the price point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first foray into the world of 4K.... This TV replaced a 2011 model Panny plasma which by the way I loved...but I gave that to my daughter. My first impression of the television is that it is a good unit with some limitations. LED's tend to lose some of the color on off angle viewing and this one is no exception, however "in the zone" the picture is extremely sharp and the colors are pretty accurate out of the box and with only a little tweaking the TV "pops" with very nice accurate colors. Combine that with the extra pixels and you get deep rich colors and very deep blacks. They are actually pretty impressive. Understand that these TV's have to give up some things in order to keep them thin and keep maximum picture for the money and that always means less than stellar sound. If you're buying a TV at this price you should be buying it for the picture anyway. I recommend buying a soundbar because the speakers are "tinny" at best. I bought an inexpensive soundbar and it made the TV experience so much better. Easy menu searches, easily tweakable, great price, great picture in the sweet zone, not bad on the off angle....if you're not looking to break your bank for a good TV then this is easily recommendable.

Great tv, one problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this tv about one month ago. Set up is easy. Adjusting settings is a breeze. Great overall picture for sports, tv shows, and Netflix. Really enjoy the remote it comes with. Has a Nexflix and Amazon button to press for instant access. Only trouble I've had is with the backlight. After about an hour or so (sometimes 10 minutes - 2 hours) parts of the backlighting will start to fade.. usually the left or right side of the tv will be darker than the rest of the picture. Only way to fix this is to turn the tv on and off.. Thus can be super annoying especially if your in the middle of a movie or watching sports.. This is an intermittent issue. After adjusting the backlight settings it will go about a day without the backlight going darker.. it seems to be random when the backlight starts to go out.. Other than that the tv is great would highly recommend. Haven't seen any other reviews with my problem, so please don't let my review steer you away from this tv.

Love It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love our new TV. Very easy to set up. Great picture! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the sound. Before adjusting the settings I had the volume all the way up and could hardly hear it. We went into settings and made a change and it's a lot better. Still would like to get a sound bar though. I'm technologically challenged but the remote and features are super easy to use. I would recommend this TV to everyone...especially if they plan to get a sound system of some type.

Good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Vizio. This is the second one I have owned and have always felt they are a great deal. Picture quality is great and it is easy to navigate. The only complaint I have is the sound isn't the best. I have to put the volume very high to hear and we have a small living room. We were planning to get speakers anyway so this doesn't bother me much. I think all these large tvs are intended to have speakers. They are so thin, its impossible to get great sound.

Great TV.....For the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best 55" TV you can buy for under $900. There are better options if you want to go up another $500. The Samsung 7500 is probably the first TV that is indisputably better, but you're lucky to find that for under $1,500. The black levels on the M series can be terrific, but it takes a lot of picture adjustments to get there. Be patient. The sound is better than I'd read. The motion blur is also better than I expected, and judder s non-existent. This is a great set for movies, very good for video gaming and good to very good for broadcast tv depending on the network. You won't be disappointed with the M55.

Great TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After discussing televisions with a Best Buy employee in-store, I decided this TV would best fit my needs. When I first hooked it up and turned it on, I was a little disappointed with the picture. It didn't look anything like the one in-store. However, I adjusted the settings and got it to look much better. The Netflix feature is AWESOME. I love just being able to push the button on the remote and going straight to Netflix. It has 5 HDMI ports, which was important to me. They are a little difficult to access, but that's no biggie. So far I don't have any issues with the TV.

My first 4K TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased this TV right before the Super Bowl to replace my 5 year old Dynex 55" 120hz LCD TV. And I am not disappointed. After the great job they did delivering and the initial setup of the TV. I played around with the setup and Walla!! My TV is great. I've watched sports and played My Xbox One & PS4 on it for hours. And had no lag or Motion blur. I think most of the motion blur and lag might be coming from antennae or satellite based systems since I do have Comcast. My only complaint is the sound which I ordered a Dynex Sound Bar. I have a Denon / Boston Acoustics Setup but don't want to turn it on every time I power up the TV.

Nice TV at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never had a smart TV before and I love it! I didn't know what I had been missing so I'm already starting to think about getting another smart TV to put in my bedroom. The picture quality on this Vizio is great and switching between TV and the apps is easy. I don't know what to make of the volume control as I have to have it up pretty high (level 35 to 55) to hear the sound well for the TV but when I'm watching a YouTube video, it would be blasting at that level so I usually have the volume set down around 10 to 15 which is normal. I tried adjusting the settings but that didn't seem to do anything. Maybe it is the cable provider (Time Warner). I probably should see someone at Best Buy. My other choice was Samsung but this was rated better for watching sports. Durability and sound was considered to be equal according to the Best Buy rep I talked to. BTW, I had both a Vizeo and two other Samsungs in my house before I purchased this. The Vizeo was the second flat screen TV I bought and has been doing just fine for the last 4 to 5 years. The Samsungs are doing well also.

Great 4K for great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first 4k TV, and is an upgrade from a 32 inch HD. It doesn't have the brightest colors, but I bought it for the deep blacks which it has. That makes the colors seem brighter, and for me it is more annoying to see blooming in dark scenes. The auto darkness feature is a little energetic but sometimes slow, so I usually have it off. That means when turn the lights off I have to manually change the settings. Speaking of settings, I had to experiment with custom settings since I didn't like the preset ones. I particularly enjoy the gradient judder ("soap opera effect") feature. Other Vizio Tvs have Off, Low, Med, High but this has a scaled for much better control. Upscaling is hit or miss (though not really enough 4K content available to compare). I use a sound bar so I can't comment on the sound, but from what little I've heard it's pretty good.

Easy setup, beautiful HD picture.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV. Easy setup, great picture. The volume is not robust so I recommend a soundbar. I added the Vision 3.0 sound bar and am pleased with the total system. I recommend the TV to anyone looking for an affordable high quality entertainment system.

Great Quality, fair sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the picture quality and apps of this TV. It could have better sound quality, but I've heard that this is an issue across all smart and flat screens and a purchasing ploy to try to see more sound systems along with the TV themselves. Overall, great picture, ease of use, dual sided qwerty remote control are all amazing.

Great bang for your buck, keep that in mind
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has been great so far, few little quirks and needs picture calibration, but great picture (can't wait for more 4K it's awesome). Regular hi def is great as well. Sound is okay. This tv for the price is awesome, obviously ou could go all out and get OLED or curved, but NOT FOR THIS PRICE. I'm happy with it.

Nice TV for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a Panasonic plasma TV that died on me for the 2nd time so I figured it was time to replace it. Did some quick research online for TVs and came across this Vizio. Seemed like the reviews were good and the price was outstanding. Overall, it's a good TV with the features you need/want and the picture is pretty good. However, the picture is best when viewed straight on and it starts to lose its sharpness/quality when you move away from center. I've tried every adjustment, etc. to make it better and you just can't. So, if this TV will be used in a room where viewers might be more than 20 or 30 degrees off center, I'd look for another TV. If, however, you're going to basically be straight on and you're looking for an inexpensive, 4K TV, this is a pretty good choice.

4K 55" Vizzio TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is a great introductory 4K TV for the price, the picture, the remote and operations are very good. Really my only complaint for this set is the lack of an Internet Browser, all Smart TVs these days should be equipped with this simple app. I do have an Internet browser on my Samsung Blu-Ray so it's not really an issue

Great picture! Questionable audio.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with purchase. Same experience as others buyers stated on reviews I read. Picture is 5 star. Audio is 3. Otherwise I would have rated a 5. I will purchase a Vizeo sound bar to remed. If you have to contact Customer Service you'll be very pleased. They are U.S. based, and well trained, and great to deal with. For those who don't know, only Direct TV broadcasts 4K. To get it you must purchase a $200 Genie receiver. Currently only a few movies are available in 4K, but the ultra HD is a great picture on their standard HD receivers. Note that the top port is for future use l, and dies not work with the standard HD receiver. It's a 60 HZ port. Use one of the 30 HZ ports till technology catches up with the TV.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size and picture quality for the price is absolutely amazing! The only thing we wish we could change is the input lag. We are major gamers and there is a noticeable lag with the tv.

Great TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV works great, nice picture quality. Don't know about the sound (I use a separate sound system). Only issue I have is sync between picture and sound. There are not a lot of options to correct this. It is also not possible to go online, you can only use pre-installed apps (Netflix, Amazon, etc)
