A Lot of Bang for the Buck

My overly-complicated AV system has provided quite a challenge as I replaced a smaller Samsung 50" TV with this 55" Visio model. One of the two HDMI inputs on the Samsung had become intermittent so the 4 HDMI inputs on the Visio became a high priority. With a switch I now have 7 HDMI inputs total. I'm still in the setup process and have been successful with commissioning of all my new devices. I have only just started to work to understand the picture/system setup referred to in the manual as menu but represented by the gear icon on the remote. I am also continually replacing cables and intermediate devices with 4K HDR compatible designs. There is a lot left to do to optimize the picture quality but with the help of the documentation and YouTube videos

I’m pleased with the television. It was easy to hook up and use. The picture quality is good. The sound quality is also good. You may have to tweak the color to suit your liking. Overall it’s a good product that I would recommend.

I like Vizio TV's and have several. My P series 65 is very good, the enxt best thing to an OLED. This new M Series TV had some of the P series features with their "quantum", and indeed it looks very bright compared to the previous Vizio V series I tried and took back. I love the ease of use with Vizio if you use Apple Airplay; easier than the LG's or others I've tried that make you go through a menu to get it connected. No way can an older person operate those others. For the money this is an incredible TV.

Like most modern TVs, you almost need a sound bar. Normally we would airplay to a HomePod through our Apple TV, but we’re giving the built in apps a go around first before buying a 4K Apple TV. So that being said, we have to keep the volume pretty loud to hear it. Besides that though? Amazing TV. Great picture, plenty of HDMI ports (seriously, some new TVs only have 2? My 9 year old TV that I just upgraded from had 4! Happy to see that Vizio isn’t skimping out on this). Remote is simple and easy to use, plus no annoying proprietary Smart TV interface you have to use just to get to an HDMI port. Plus I can control this TV from the HomeKit app on my iPhone. Love this feature. Couldn’t be happier, minus the audio concerns. If it would AirPlay TO A HOMEPOD, then it would be perfect.

Fantastic value for a great quality TV. Beyond the fact that it has 4 HDMI ports and Full Array backlighting, the screen seems to leap out at you. There is auto -detection of letterboxing (the bars at top and bottom) and automatically dims those more so you don't notice it. The HDR delivers awesome, deep rich blacks. The Vizio platform also has several apps and customizable app bar, including some free movie apps. All around great TV, great price, and very easy set-up!

I was lucky enough to get a PS5 preorder, so I needed to upgrade my TV to take full advantage of the new console, but I couldn't afford to break the bank. This TV is absolutely perfect for what I need. The picture is gorgeous and the setup and use is incredibly easy. I upgraded from a 2017 E-Series and I honestly can't believe how much of a difference there is. I also love that Vizio started including antenna tuners in their sets again, I missed having an over-the-air option.

I can't knock this TV for the picture because that's about the only thing it is good at, which is picture quality. I'm currently only using it to drive a display and set up a chromecast with Google TV because their SmartCast, Airplay2, and builtin Chromecast is just unbearable to use with the way they have designed their OS. I have had multiple tech problem regarding the functioning of the CEC feature along with the Pro Gaming Engine (Yeah, the main thing advertised) which does not work with the Xbox One X and keeps flickering to different colors and in and out of HDR. Insanely buggy software with an amazing display is the best way I can sum up this TV and overall I am disappointed in Vizio to the point where I will never touch a Vizio product again, especially with their customer service telling me to "not use the TV for 24 hours" to receive an update. WHAT?! Unheard of and straight up disrespectful to offer that as a solution to a buggy TV. Best Buy didn't do anything with a 14 day return period, Vizio did not help, so I'm stuck with a non smart $500 average tv.

Great TV for a very reasonable price. Picture is crisp and clear with very natural colors. Easy to set up. Perfect size for our family room. Sound city be better, but with a sound bar it is great.

Good quality TV, excellent value for money. Picture is 8.5/10, Sound 5/10 (will probably buy soundbar, this is common among newer thin TVs). Have the H8 model as well and the difference in picture quality is noticeable up close. Great for gaming in HDR10, PS4 looks amazing on this tv. Wish the back two hdmis had more space, cannot fit a roku streaming stick without extender (can use other 2 hdmi). Smart TV app is okay, definite improvement over Vizio's older platform but doesn't compare with other streaming options. Wish the power cord and hdmi inputs were on same side of tv but thats nitpicking.

    My opinion on this....

Really enjoy the quality of the tv. Its bright enough for my taste, mostly video games (ps4) a for some streaming services, build quality is great in my opinion very minimalist and the picture quality is great for me. But what I don't understand is why some of the calibration settings aren't accessible to play around with and for some reason the volume isn't very good. I don't usually us my tv's on high volume but my old Vizio D series, on lower volume sounds better than this one. I have to raise the volume up to 50+ for somethings I watch on youtube. But overall those are the only two things I'm not liking about the tv.

It’s shows 4K really well. The bulbs seem to need a warmup of about 50 hours till they really start to show the same quality of picture. Definitely mess around with the the setting to get the quality to fit your tv perfectly (shouldn’t take more than an hour). GREAT FOR GAMING, my biggest worry was a vizio and my Xbox and there being some extra latency. As of right now I have yet to experience any log of such kind between my system and tv. Highly recommend great budget/gaming/4K tv:)))

I usually decline to review purchases but I must say this Vizio is everything and more of what it's advertised to be. I am extremely happy with this purchase. It has an outstanding picture and the colors are brilliant. Setup was easy and it works great with Wally. Although I live in my RV it connects seamlessly with my hot spot. There is so much content in the app section......Well worth the $$$

It's the cheapest tv I found to support HDMI 2.1 and colors are very good. It can display very deep blacks, but the local dimming isn't great. Overall a good purchase.

Viziio has always been a great product to get the bang for your buck we’re all lookin for. The tv has an amazing picture with great vibrant color and deep black that doesn’t get cloudy. I use this tv in my game room for playing on my console and for watching uhd movies. This is a purchase you won’t regret if you decide to get one of these. Can’t got wrong with the M series.

I really wanted to love EVERYTHING about this tv. I have two other VIZIO tv's, and I have always liked this brand. The picture is amazing, and comes with lots of extra apps. What is missing is the sound. The sound on this TV is horrible. If it wasn't for the fact that it would be a huge hassle to return it I would have. I have a surround sound system already, but I can't get it to sync with this TV. It worked great with my other Vizio (which it didn't really need). I just purchased a sound bar today. I am hoping that completes the package.

Vizio TV has a bright, clear picture. and vibrant color. TV was purchased at Best Best City of Industry and the sales person who helped was very well informed about the TV and answered all my questions in a professional manner. I definitely will go back to purchase other items as I needed and will recommend to friends and family to frequent that store.
