Bought this phone for my mother-in-law who is 97 years old. She keeps telling me she cannot hear the callers? But at the same time she has pushed the speaker phone button. Sooo!! There is nothing coming through to her ear. And, therefore, she cannot hear. The phone has a very good volume and is relatively easy to operate with fair sized buttons for those in need.

I thought that I was really going to like this phone as this phone was easy to set up as directions are simple & easy to follow. I was irked that upon opening & reading directions that a DSL filter was needed to ensure clear reception as phone requires internet connection. Comcast had assured me that no filter was needed; however, that was not to be the case. There was an annoying crackling noise without filter. Noise was improved by 50% with a DSL filter. Also, no extendable phone is available as far as I can tell. The phone that was paired up with this system is incompatible & useless to me. It turns out that all my old AT&T phone system needed was a DSL filter. I spent money that I could not part with to buy this junk. I have purchased Vtech phones years ago that I really enjoyed using which is why I felt secure in my purchase; however, quality has suffered since then.
Tip: Do not buy an inexpensive phone system as you will end up with junk as I did.
