Does the job. My husband does not want to keep cell phone so we bought this so we can keep in touch when he is home. Works! I think instructions are difficult to follow but have slowly figured it out.

Purchased phone for a landline we added on to our cable internet service. Cable company didn’t inform us that it would take almost two weeks to have phone line activated.
We were able to use the intercom feature and that worked great!

I bought this because it was inexpensive and i dont get many calls. Also, it had the hands free head set, good up to ?# of feet from the base.
The "instructions" are totally inadequate. I finally had to have the geek squad pay me a visit, and he was very knowledgeable; got my new PC to talk to my new TV, and gave me useful tips on using both.
However, the phone took a bit of research. He did get it set up though, with a pass code to retrieve messages, and in the process learned that the hands free set Only Works if you carry the Hand Set around with you. Right out of Mad Magazine.
