The combat is ridiculously satisfying, whether you're mowing down orks with a well-placed boltgun or smashing through hordes with a thunder hammer. The campaign is engaging and immersive, with a solid narrative that'll keep you invested in the grim darkness of the far future. And with robust multiplayer modes, you'll be butchering heretics with your friends in no time. If you're a fan of the grim darkness, this game is a must-play - just be prepared for some serious grind!"

Nonstop action with hordes of enemies in all directions. I was able to get this from a local best buy and with their membership program i have a guaranteed 60-day price match. Much easier to focus on playing rather than hunting for deals on my next game

Space Marine 2 delivers everything I wanted and more. From the second you step into the armor of Lieutenant Titus, the game throws you into massive, chaotic battles that feel straight out of a Warhammer novel. The visuals on PS5 are jaw-dropping—explosions, Tyranid hordes, and massive environments all look and feel epic.
Combat is a perfect mix of brutal melee and tight gunplay, with smooth controls and satisfying weight behind every strike. The DualSense features add a whole new level of immersion—every chainsword swing and bolt round has punch.
Whether you're a long-time Warhammer fan or just love intense third-person shooters, this game is an absolute must-play. Can’t wait to dive into multiplayer next.

Basically feels like Gears of War on the PlayStation hardware. Multiplayer is good times and easy to navigate. Kind of wish the game worked more like Gears of War, rather than using med kits. Still has a revive function, but feels more clunky, especially with med kits few are far between.
Most of the guns didn't appeal to me though. I found myself using the same loadout as everything else was so limited with rounds you were left with no much of anything.
Stages didn't change much visually. Gears of War is probably still the superior experience, which is now on PlayStation at the time of this writing, but this is still a fun experience and in the the Warhammer universe. Still recommend it.

This is not the kind of game I normally play, but after seeing so much positive feedback I gave it a try. I loved it. It's a ton of fun, it's gory, and it is jaw droppingly gorgeous. There are scenes with literally hundreds of enemies onscreen swirling all around you. My only issue is it was very short, I beat it in about 11 hours. But that's ok, because it is a game I will pick up every few months to plow through again. Very enjoyable.

The gameplay is alright. The story is short. There's only 6 PVE missions that you have to repeat to grind to upgrade your class and weapons. That's not bad except there's only 6, and they take so long. Depending on difficulty level they can take anywhere from 30-50 minutes for one mission and you level up 1 level at most per completion. My problem with them being so long is the amount of time it takes per xp is just too big, and a lot of the time I only have like 45 minutes to play a game before I have to do something and I just can't jump on real quick. Between the loading up the game, then loading the servers, then finding a match, then loading the map, then finally completeing the match, then LOADING the to exit the match and get the AAR then loading back into the launch bay, only to be disconnected from the server cuz the host left, and instead of just seamlessly continuing with like customizing your character like every other game, guess what? You have to load back into single player, then load back into multiplayer. I haven't seen this much loading since Xbox 360, maybe even before that. Then the servers are always disconnecting for no reason or having high ping. There's a lot that can be improved with this game overall in the gameplay mechanics and everything but the biggest issues are the LOADING and the servers. This game should have been $30. This is not a $70 game by any stretch.

A worthy sequel to the first Space Marine game that resurrects the fun of action games from the 7th console generation. Could’ve had a longer campaign, but has a good amount of side content to make up for it.

Lots of impressive battle scenes with lots of enemies and is fun to play. It’s not too many enemies where you feel overwhelmed, but it’s a good large scale battlefield feel. A must play with friends. A good third person shooter with a variety of environments and skills and weapons.

I don't say this to bring up those cringe modern day conversations, but this game is just testerone balls to the wall energy. The game is very repetitive because you literally fight the same enemies the same way in every campaign and mp level. Although I enjoyed the campaign, it is definitely short, but definitely fun to experience. But here's the thing, if you only plan to play the campaign then wait for a sale. I couldn't find any pleasure in the PvP or PvE mp modes as I don't care to grind for online nonsense. Overall, good game, but for single player focused buyers..look elsewhere

This is such a great game, the action and the detail to the 40K universe is awesome. Weapons have crunch, enemies are varied and challenging, especially on higher difficulties.
Playing co-op is a treat, taking the fight with buddies is a great time. The customization options for your marine are awesome, a lot to play with before diving into any paid DLC/cosmetics.
A great title and so much fun alone or with friends.

I had played this on the Series X and really enjoyed the campaign gameplay. I enjoyed it enough I needed another play through on the PS pro with its optimized version and I have been pleased with the graphical and frame rate rate performance the pro version allows for. The gameplay is so much more satisfying with the smoother frame rate and higher graphical performance. The campaign is one I really enjoyed playing through and I still have the operations left to work through then eventually starting the other online modes. If you still haven’t pulled the trigger on this one, the time is now.

I forgot to review this game when I got it a year ago, but this should serve as a good update to how well this game is holding up.
The creators with this sequel added so much from the first. The upgrades, abilities, and unlocks are fun. The operations are fun to play over and over to get better wargear, and the new PvE modes that added not too long ago are challenging.
The campaign is solid with a lot of fun interactions with Chaos and Terminid. The operations fill in the gaps from the campaign and I thought this was done quite well, as it gave another viewpoint from the main character Titus.

Prior to Space Marine 2, I had never played any Warhammer game. I was able to jump right in and didn't feel like I was missing too much background story but there's a lot of videos online that will bring you up to speed. Now for the gameplay, I had such a blast playing this game. Campaign is a nice way to get a feel for the game and learn different abilities and weapons before jumping into one of the multiplayer modes. I really enjoyed playing the PvE Operation missions.

Great game. Never played the first game but had experience with boltgun. Fortunate the game gave me an ammo chest on one of the boss fights to continue. Game camera angle during cutscene messed up at the end which took me out of it but performed well for the duration. Fun gameplay and good story.
