For anyone buying this, you are probably already a fan of Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors and the other Warriors Orochi games. If you haven't played any of the other games, you can still play this one but you may not know all of the characters from previous games being thrown at you and why certain meetings might be special. There are cutscenes and conversations that explain what is going on that you can pick up fairly easily. Graphically it looks great on the PS4 (no HDR or 4K support as an FYI) and for the majority of the game the framerate is stable. Like previous games, the goals of each mission is to move to each section of the map, take out all of the enemies to build up your special move gauges and take out your enemies with super moves. As you progress to fight each commander, you are also granted magic by the gods to assist you on your journey. Great hack and slash action and switching between characters to chain super movies is satisfying. So many characters to unlock as well. If you love these games where you feel like a god with so many unlockables and the ability to play as other characters, then take a dive and have fun.

Despite the completely true roster size, WO4 still feels a little light on content - at least compared to WO3 Ultimate. If you're a fan of the warriors franchises on display here (Dynasty and Samurai), it's a good game for around 40 bucks.

This is an action game like many of the previous iterations. Lots of characters to choose from and lots of enemies to beat up.

Quickly, get that Dynasty Warriors 9 taste out of your mouth, because the Warriors franchise has finally gotten back to what makes it great-- blasting away thousands of enemies with magic spears and lightning orbs! Previous entries in the series, including the execrable ninth one, have begun to rely more on gimmicks and poor gameplay choices, carving away at the roots of a once great series. But not Orochi 4! This one knows what you want and gives it to you in spades, providing that fantastic core Musou gameplay of massive enemy genocide, then even adds a cool, weird magic attack system that makes things even more fun. Back to basics and then some. The best Warriors game in ages.

Warriors Orochi 4 uses the same formula as the last one. It's the same hack and slash game I love, but with even more characters and more powerful moves.

I bought this game a while back on the nintendo switch, and absolutely loved it. It's everything I've always loved about the old Dynasty Warriors and Samurai warriors games COMBINED, with new characters and a new weapon system. You pick up loot to find better weapons which can then be upgraded with a large variety of modifiers, things such as lightning wind or one hit kill chance. This is the best version of a Warriors gams I've ever played. It's so good that I bought it again for my PS4, just so I can continue to enjoy it in more ways. For the price you definitely can't go wrong. If you've ever played and liked any past dynasty warriors game you will love this. It's a great game for beginners to the series too. With 4 different difficulty settings, and a guided tutorial, anyone can easily learn how to play in minutes, then use what they learned for 100+ hours of fun. I can't get over how much fun this game is. Oh and did I mention there are 170 characters? Yes, LuBu is in it, as well as other god tier characters, and then...actual god characters like Zeus, Athena, and Susano'o. Get the game, play the game, you won't regret it.

This game is for fans of the orochi saga. Fast action with tons of characters to use. Go buy.

I've been a fan of the warriors game and this WO4 is definitely a game to play. Lots of characters. Interesting story line (not that I pay attention lol). I really love playing it. Got it for the Switch too.

The game was a refreshing entry into the warriors franchise. I played the last 2 entries in warriors all stars and dynasty warriors 9 and they didn't live up to the hype. This goes back to the core of the warriors gameplay.

The game is similar to the previous warriors games, but the fans know that it is what it is for warriors series. It is easy to play and good to release the stress.

If you are a fan of the Koei Tecmo Warriors games or Musou as fans call them then this game is for you. Great music, great cast of characters, and really fun gameplay.

This game is pure fun! If you are a fan of hack and slash or Dynasty Warriors type of games, this game is 100% for you! This title is packed with a lot content.

Very good game IMO. Great Graphics and good Gameplay. Story was great too and the controls, I found were very responsive. Still overall a very good purchase! (especially on sale !)-will miss the the Gamers Rewards Program...
