    Works well. Easy to swap once you read the instructions. Generic filters do not filter the same particles as this one. So do read through the full list of filteration description.

    In the details and reviews for my recent purchase of a GE Refrigerator, it stated that a Water Filter did NOT come with the Refrigerator, but in fact, it did. I purchased this but did not need it for the installation. I am not upset as I have a ready spare. The water filter works very well and I feel confident drinking directly from the refrigerator now.

    To keep it simple, this is the water filter for my GE fridge. It does what it needs to for 6 months. Better taste than tap water. I have one on scheduled order every 6 months as a subscription. Easy install into my fridge by inserting into slot and rotating 90 degrees to lock in place.

    There aren’t really multiple options for our fridge, so it’s good that this filter is actually good. Fits our GE fridge perfectly and the water tastes great!

    I decided to get this instead of ordering the GE filter. It fit fine. It seemed like compared to the GE I had to run more water through it to get the water clear (about 2 quarts). But after that, the water tastes great.
