I have previously purchased this particular water filter from the major hardware store but the product is in slightly different packaging and had to be returned multiple times because it will not work with my refrigerator even through it is labeled the same. I believe counterfeit products are possibly being sold by major hardware store, or they have a large supply of defective filters.

RPWFE GE Refrigerator Carbon Works Great!

It will spray or gush out at first and that only means the install was correct. Although, the water begins to clear up like in the second gallon dumped out. Filters the water and the water tastes great! Quenching filtered water! Love it!

You can really taste the difference. Must be the quality of the materials that make it filter properly, I have no accurate response BUT! the tase is different. It might be more expensive but it’s s worth it, like i said, lesson.

It made a noise at the beginning but over time the noise went away. Must have been the air that needed to get out. Water quality is very good.
