Fastest WD 4TB Drive

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Western Digital WD4006FZBX drive to install in a new Dell Windows 11 computer which comes with only 1/2 TB SSD. I will use the WD4006FZBX HDD to store large user files. Two TB would have been plenty, but I selected the WD4006FZBX because it has 256MB cache, making it 63% faster than those with only 64MB which are commonly sold. If you buy 4TB, look on line to find how to GPT format and partition it so your system can access the entire drive. Dell tech support says you can't, but it works fine.

A good performing mechanical HDD

I was using it as part of a raid array, replacing a 3TB WDD drive. You are going to get about the best speeds you can get short of going with SATA SSD.
