I bought this for the XBox One. I can't speak for use with the newest XBox, but for One it is great. 5TB is room for a lot of games. The games will play from the hard drive. It's small enough that it fits on the shelf, without being unsightly. ONE WARNING: When removing from the package, the plastic shell is two pieces, NOT a hinged "clamshell" design, so when you pull the two tabs to open it the hard drive will fall out. So open it over a table, so it doesn't fall to the floor.

Finally, I had the opportunity to upgrade fro my old WD Passport. This new WD_Black P10 5TB for my Xbox Series X is so amazing and dope. More space to download games super fast.

Love this drive it’s faster then my Sony seagate Drive 5Tb drive and a super quiet, when reading and the light is easy on the eyes where as the seagate 5Tb is so bright it annoying. Plug and play and ready to go

For those that need more space for their Xbox console, this will work great. Keep in mind that you won't be able to play current-gen games from this drive.

Does exactly what I needed it to do! Provides more hard drive space for my games and the speed is good.

Now I cam store more games without having to delete them, the only downside is that I can't play games from the newer versions of xbox x/s if stored directly from the memory but still happy with this buy.

Great hard drive. 5TB you will never run out if space, well unless you download more games then you can ever play.

Tons of storage just cant play the games when they are on it like the seagate ones. Great for storing games and taking them places with you though

My download speeds arent so great. So this 5 tb external has been a god send. Super easy to setup. Was literally plug n play. And hats off to best buy and fed ex on the shipping. Next day boom. If your download speeds are slower like mine this is a good investment.

Bought by mistake, New Gen games unplayable. Only use for storage and non cross gen games.

Great bang for your buck. Easy plug and play use, no formatting needed if using with Xbox as intended, but can be used for other consoles or PC if you reformat it. Note that doing so wipes the drive, so if you want to use it for a different device after initially using it with an Xbox, make sure to transfer anything you don’t want to lose to your Xbox’s inter HDD, or back it up to cloud storage.

My Xbox is nearly full after 7 games being installed. I bought this and life is so much better. Works great, is FAST, easy to install and CHEAP!

This drive works great with the Xbox Series S. It’s completely plug and play. It comes with codes for two months of Game Pass which stack with your current membership. Note that you can only run previous generation games directly from this drive. Anything current gen will need to be copied over to the Xbox’s internal storage to run.

Great product and works as advertised. Nothing fancy, just needed additional storage.

A crazy amount of memory that you won’t use in a lifetime but this is only good for the Xbox One. It won’t play games for Series X/S and that is not explained on the box or instructions. Great Price for the amount of memory though
