Well, I bought it for games and it works! Was able to download every game I have bought and still have 2 tb left over.

This iS ONE of those items that YOU Set UP / install it and Forget about IT. It works, but I have nothing (Speed-Wise) to compare it against. I installed it immediately after setting UP MY PS5. Accessing MY library of PS5 games is quick, and installing it was a breeze. I recommend the WD - Black SN85OP to ANYONE looking to expand the storage on their PS5. Thanks to the large size of this current generation of games, EXTRA storage is a MUST.

I had been keeping an eye for this for this for some time. An easy to add additional storage without being to complex. The install was very easy, plenty of instructions out there to handle myself and save a few extra bucks rather than pay for someone else to do it.

Such an easy install. Slide the cover off. Two screws out. Pop in the card. Two screws in. Slide cover on. Bam 4tb extra storage. No need for external usb storage that constantly having issues at startup. This is the way.

Maxed out storage on my PS5. Top notch memory and speeds. Replaced a 1TB internal and 1TB external SSD from PS5 launch. Heat isn’t an issue and the fix for random PS5 shutdown is cleaning the internals (check YouTube…I’ve done it twice with the 1TB and 4TB SSDs….solved issue both times)

You can watch a video on the PlayStation page showing how the memory is installed. The installation process is very simple: the system automatically detects it, formats it, and it’s ready to use. With 4 GB, there is plenty of space for all my games without needing to use the internal storage.

A must pick up for 2026 games coming out. More and more bigger titles are demanding more space for there games and w/ 4TB it did not disappoint. Upgraded from 1TB to 4TB is well worth the investment.

This has made my life so much better. Works great on ps5 and Ive had no more storage issues.

This adds more than 4x the stoage to the PS5 and you can play games off of it well. The install was a breeze, removing the top cover is the worst part. If you have trouble with the install, WD has an installation video on their website. I highly recommend it since it not only comes woth the memory but also a preinstalled heatshield.
