Purchased to diagnose boot issue with my pc and in the end, did not need it. I currently have another WD drive in my pc as well as my sons and have had zero issues. Quick, long lasting drive and will definitely continue to purchase WD in the future.

I've tried all the top ranked gen 4 nvme m.2 ssd's on the market and this is top 5 without a doubt and at a reasonable price as apposed to some of the others. I only gave it 4 stars because there are a few others I'd put ahead of this one in my testing, but definitely worth a shot if you need a better and reliable hard drive.

No problems. It remembers like they all do. Quality of such a thing takes time - it hasn’t burned out yet. My game play is spot. My machine fires up and goes to sleep as instructed. It is fast as it says.

Was looking at the Samsung 980 Pro but this has better performance. Getting over 7000 Mbps which is a lot faster than my last gen 970 Evo Plus. Best price for the size of the drive from the competition.

Though I purchased this in late 2022, it wasn’t until 26JUN2023, that I replaced the stock 512gb with this 1tb on a 2022 ThinkPad X1 Extreme. The speed of this 1tb over the 512gb is noticeable in certain situations. It was a slight expense to get the 1tb at the time of the initial CTO build and I took the advice of YouTuber “Everyday Dad” and got the base model but I upgraded the graphics. The price was extremely reasonable at less than $80 on sale over the Holiday 2022 season.

Great SSD for the price. I bought it on sale, but it beats the competition with fast speeds, gen 4 compatibility, and a large dram cache that makes all the difference for little difference in cost.

Upgraded my laptop to this SSD and it was super quick, simple. just popped the shell of the laptop, slipped it in, and boom. worked like i was a profession installing a new engine in a car!

I use this as a boot drive in my Pop OS Machine. I also use this as my gaming on Linux Machine! The drive runs very fast and has no problem slowing from heat during gaming sessions. With Linux, a 1 TB drive is large enough to be all that is needed for my needs. Performance to cost makes this a nice choice! For years I have used Samsung drives, thought I would give WD a try and I am very pleased with this choice!

I purchased this particular SSD due to prior experience with Western Digital storage products. I was blown away by the performance of this drive. I am using it primarily for video editing and rendering. Rendering a 4K video completed in less than 5 % of the time required by my fastest hard drive. This SSD is perfect for content creation and processing. Highly recommended!
