Excellent Hard Drive. Enough storage for my IMac. Very quiet and holds a lot of storage.

After reading several reviews of numerous replacement drives, this is the one that seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Installation was super simple, and programming it was even easier than setting up a new computer. Performance is actually better than the previous drive and even the kids have not complained when using it for online games compared to the old drive that was constantly lagging and stalling while playing). This new drive also handles more programs simultaneously without overheating.

I'd been steering clear of WD drives because of some failure issues we had years ago and one problem in particular with being unable to recover data from one of their external drives because of a proprietary connector that they were hardwiring to their drives for a period of time. Swore off them as a result and only bought this one because there were no Seagates in stock. So far so good. Easy installation. Came with screws which was nice and as of today it's been running smoothly with zero issues.

Easy install and set-up a good fast drive. My only concern was the 2 year warranty.

Installed this in my media PC to add some more storage space. Works great, no issues installing or Windows 10 recognizing.

The 1TB hard drive meets all my school demands, and the pricing paid was a bargain; the hard drive runs fast and quiet!

easy install, partitioned just fine, quite.... it was a little weird it was priced the same as the 500mb model but I feel like I got a fair deal.

The 8 year old main hard drive on my computer was having issues and needed to be replaced before it crashed completely. I purchased this drive as a replacement. It easily installed into an extra internal drive bay and was recognized immediately. I cloned my old C drive onto the new drive, removed the old C drive and have been using this new WD drive ever since. I use the computer every day and this drive has been working with no issues for over a year now.

WD drives are always reliable and low priced. I recommend these drives for storage mostly. I recommend using a SSD for your boot drive.

I bought two of these HDDs to outfit a couple of old Powermac G5s that I'd bought with the intention of selling one of them (the computer, not the drive). One computer turned out to be a lemon, so I installed both drives in the other and have been using that computer with no problems whatsoever. Despite the computer being a 2005 model, all I needed to make the drives work was a simple jumper; I'm very pleased!

One good ssd for any type of desktop, especially if you need extra storage for games and even work files, it isn’t as slow as I expected, it’s actually an pretty good mid fast ssd for the price

When my Mac Cheesegrater Tower began throwing up I/O errors, I knew I needed a new root HD soon. I ran up to my local Best Buy, looking for a basic 500GB HD. I was surprised to see this one for such a great price. I picked it up, slapped it in one of the bays, and migrated all of my data and booted it up. It's been running like a champ ever since and it gets a lot of use. I would highly recommend this HD to any potential customer.

Easy setup to increase storage on my media PC for processing and saving home videos. I have purchased three of these drives in the past and all are still humming along. Good price per GB. Not SsSD speeds but rock solid.

This Hard Drive is a big improvement compared to the one that was replaced. Read/Write is much faster and my system overall performance is better. Eventually, I will need to invest in a newer computer but for now I am pleased. Excellent price.

Ive had numerous Seagate Drives fail just a year or 2 past their warranty period, my last drive a 1 TB Seagate just failed, tired of failing drives and my large quantity of Western Digital drives which work without a hitch and issue, i decided to replace the failed seagate with this BLUE WD drive. High quality, quiet, speedy (as any physical disc drive can be). Proven reliability and performance. Plug and play, reformat to work in win or mac. No regrets.
