I have never attempted to replace a laptop hard drive and, although there was a bit of a learning curve, I was able to accomplish it! The drive is quiet, as promised, and I now have the space needed to store and produce my music projects. The salesman (and saleswoman) who helped me, each, on two different days (as I was gathering the courage to try this upgrade) were helpful, knowledgeable, new exactly what I needed and were honest about what I DIDN'T need! I appreciated that!! I only spent what I needed to spend, got a great deal on the drive, confirmed my procedures with the salespeople, and successfully installed the new drive. I've been working my laptop hard for the last month and couldn't be happier! I would definitely buy WD drives/products again.

This 1TB SATA drive replaced my 500GB drive. Installation was easy. Have used now for 5 weeks with no issues. Very satisfied.

My girlfriend gave me this HDD to upgrade my PlayStation 4's memory and it works like a charm!! It is actually fasted even though the HDD that came with the console was a 5200 as well! Great product!

I bought this for a MacBook laptop. It was easy to install and using and OS X disk, I formatted the disk and installed the operating system. This was an excellent buy.

Great cost effective replacement for a bad internal disk. It is a standard drive, not an SSD, and it mounted correctly enabling me to reinstall the OS without an issue. Performs as expected.

Western Digital has always been very reliable. Easy install on my friend's laptop, needed a new hard drive.

I was actually looking for a Solid State drive, but none were available. This drive was 1 Tbyte and has performed above what I expected. Previous drive from my computer could not use Windows 10 because it was way to slow. I did a disk copy of the drive and upgraded to Windows 10 and it has been pleasantly fast.
