I don't know how helpful a review of a hard drive can be. I needed a hard drive because my last one died. I bought this one at the store, took it home and installed it. I put it in a Macbook Pro. The installation involved taking the screws out of the bottom of the machine and taking the bottom cover off (with the machine closed and upside down). Then, there are 4 screws that hold the drive mounting bracket in. I took those off and slid the one mounting bracket off, disconnected the cable and took out the old drive. There is a small piece that screws into the side of the drive that helps the mounting bracket hold it in place - this drive doesn't come with those, so don't throw away the old drive until you're done with the installation. I simply reversed the process to put the new one in. If you're even remotely mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. Total installation time was probably 6-8 minutes. It works. Hopefully it will last as long as I have the computer.

The hard drive works well It installed very easily, Just plugged it in and installed Windows and it was up and running. Drive seems to be very fast at this time at least faster than last drive.. Found this for the right price at store .Looked in other stores and found this price was a little better at Best Buy

Perfect hard drive for my needs easy to install and put windows 11 on it

This Serial ATA hard drive was easy to install, the factory format was accepted by my old Dell e6520, I just used Apricorn software to copy my old 250GB hard drive to this new 1TB hard drive, once the copy was finished, I installed it in minutes and all works fine!

Replaced the laptop hard drive and it was quick and easy. No problems and lots of memory for a pretty low price.

I replaced a drive in my channel master TV recorder. Works perfectly.

Installed it in my girlfriends PS4 and it works great. She now has extra storage for Destiny 2 and COD. No more complaining about having to delete content to download games and themes. Easy to install and set up. Total time was about 40 minutes.

I purchased once and had it installed at Best Buy, Then I had to replace it within 10 months. I sent the one purchased back to the company and they sent me a new one since it was still under warranty. In the meantime the one Best Buy installed the second time, it works perfectly. Was even able to give the one sent to me to Best Buy and received a full refund for the second purchase. Runs perfectly now.

I picked this up for my PS3 60 gig backwards comp system and it works perfect simple install and it formatted it and read it first time no issues .. plenty of room for all my ps3 games now

My ps4 was having software update issues, I tried so many things and realized I needed a new hard drive, I found this online and went to the store right away. The people in the store were doubtful that this would work but I saw other reviews saying it did, so I gave it a shot. I’m glad I went with my instincts and bought it cuz it definitely works. I’m glad I didn’t have to wait days to get one from Amazon or pay a ridiculous price somewhere else. Would definitely recommend and then watch a video on how to install it if you’re unsure how to do the steps.

Reliable drive that is a standard size and fits 99% of laptops out there. Not as fast as an SSD but more storage for your buck. I fix computers and install a lot of hard drives, and I can tell you WD's warranty service is top notch, fast, and easy.

I am extremely pleased with how this hard drive has functioned in a laptop I was almost ready to consign to the trash heap. It snapped into place with perfect fit and has so far been every bit as fast and reliable as the original ASUS unit.

Super easy to swap this out for the old hard drive. Got a good deal and have not had any problems since then. The install is basically swapping the hard drives, and then downloading the PS system files onto the new drive. Then you can access the cloud and reinstall all your game save date. Then reinstall whatever games you had before.

I bought this drive to replace the internal HDD in my new PS4. Glad I did! The install was easy & I have ample room for my media files & game downloads. As always Western Digital is perfect!
