These drives are great for storage archives or backups. I have several and they have all performed without issue.

OK so it is a 5400 rpm drive and many people will shy away from it thinking it will be slow. Fact is if you are using it for storage you don't need a 7200 or 10k drive. I use it as a Music and Movie drive in my MacPro, and its just fine, it transfers at 6gbps which is faster than needed for music and movies. I ran GeekBench before and after the install and the benchmarks actually increased over the old 500gb 7200 drive!!! Cant bear it for the price!!!

Good price for a 3 TB Hard drive. It worked on the first one I bought, which for 3+ TB hard drives is pretty good. I haven't noticed any performance issues works just like a 750 GB HD. Only thing I can say is you can't use a regular partition, because of the size. But that isn't the hard drives fault and it is pretty easy to setup.

Only half way through storage and I have 100 game steam library. Pair it with an ssd for fast boots.

I use it in a Unraid NAS server. It seems to do what I need it to do. I don't have thousands of transactions a second so no need for the Red version. This is a simple home NAS

The price of this drive is amazing for the amount of storage this will provide for my music library. Western Digital is "top of the line" for reliable drives, and I have not been disappointed.

Seems to be working fine so far. I have it installed in a TiVo Roamio Plus Streaming DVR and I don't see any issue with buffering, lag, pixelating, etc. The AV-GP is probably better for this application, but it's not critical for me so I went with price since this was on sale for $89.

I went with the WD hard drive because it has better reviews than the Seagate alternatives (several which have died on me in the past). Stores all my files, and is relatively quiet to boot.
