I have several network access storage devices and try to add various manufacturers drives all at the same time in an effort to avoid a multiple simultanious drive failures. The thinking that two drives made at the same time with identical use might fail at the same time due to similar materials and age. this is one of the drives I usualy throw into the mix. I Western Digital.

Replaced a 3TB drive in my NAS. The NAS is performing better than ever.

Holds all of the data I need and then some. Was very simple to use.

My Windows Home Server started taking an inordinate amount of time to do nightly backups, so I checked the drives. As I suspected, one of my two 1 TB content backup drives had become unstable after breaching Microsoft's 10 percent limit. Noting that I had filled the drive with just 4 backup clients, I decided to try a larger capacity drive, and settled on the 3 TB drive. Leery of WD in general, but this drive installed and formatted without issues. After adding the client backup folder to it, and incrementally returning my clients to the backup scheme, the system now conducts full client backups in 3 - 4 hours, and incrementals in just a few minutes. My only complaint: WHS won't back up drives bigger than 2 TB, but that's a WHS issue, not related to this drive. So far so good, over a month of reliable, quiet, speedy backups. We'll see.

I bought this as an addition for my VR desktop as the SSD for the OS and basic apps was not huge at the time. It has been a solid storage solution for a whole lot of apps and movies. Speed is typical of this type of drive but it has worked well so far and was very reasonably priced.

got this on sale and i dont regret it. is wat i needed i got this 3tb to get more space in my pc and is working good no noise. it was simple to install.

Good for storing Data on. its not that fast. Haven't had it that long to tell if going to be a reliable hard drives.

Needed a new hard drive for my Dell PC, easy to install, and 3TB of memory is great. Don't think I will fill this up soon, if every. Western Digital has always been my drive of choice.

Pro, 1. 3gb of course. 2. Great for storing movies, pictures, home videos and backing up software, games and other data, 3. Reasonable priced. 4. Fast enough for 4K movie playback. Con, 1. At 5400rpms it's not ideal for gaming, you're better off spending more and getting a 1tb SSD since they've come down in price. 2. It's doesn't have the best read and write speeds. 3. It uses more power than an SSD. 4. Not ideal as a Windows boot drive at all. For my purposes of storing my DVDs, Blu-Rays and 4K Blu-Rays this drive is great, for games and other programs I use my SSD drives.

Perfect Hard Drive and reasonable price! Would recommend.
