Very affordable for 16tb storage. I have been using this for sometime now and it has working as expected.

This drive is fast - very fast - for an external supposedly 5400 RPM hard drive. So that led me to dig into the drive a bit and do some research. WD doesn't really post a lot of info on the actual drive hiding inside these external enclosures, but from what I can see on at least the higher storage count drives 14TB-18TB, these are Ultrastar DC HC550 drives. That means they are in fact 7200 RPM helium-filled with a 512 MB cache and a 2.5 million hour MTBF - and used in data centers so they can take more punishment than your standard cheap every day run-of-the-mill hard drive. All of my drives go through an extended read/write torture test before they are put to use, which this drive passed at a maximum temperature of 50 C. It is doing its job backing up family photos and videos.

These drives are quite a bit louder than the 12TB model but are performing well so far. The noise it not a huge deal to me since I have them running in my home office closet connected to my home server. I bought 4 of them and did a full test and format on all four without any errors reported.

I use this drive to backup photos. It works well. I actually bought 2, one for each computer.

I use this external hard drive mainly as my backup drive for 2 other external drives, my cell phone, my laptop, and still have space for more things! I love having a massive amount of storage without worrying about running out!

I havn't shucked it like others have, however, I have it hooked up to a pi for my home media server. Works flawless. It has enough storage for everything of all categories such as movies, tv series, music, etc. Its self powered so that it works with the pi great as well as sometimes the pi's USB ports cannot handle self-powered drives.

Easy to use no install needed. Wish it was powerdd from usb.

Large drive. Nice high transfer rate on USB 3.0. Since I bought this on 04/14/2021, they are now unavailable. This Easystore drive is made for and only sold by BestBuy. I got it on a daily deal. I use it to have a backup of my NAS so it isn't plugged in all the time. Overall I have no idea about longevity. Very happy with this purchase.

Great drive for backup storage. You can remove the hard drives from the case and put them in a PC or NAS unit, but it will void your warranty. Have several different versions going back to the 8TBs from several years ago - never had an issue with any of them and I've bought quite a few!

Great quality WD external drive. Simple plug & play operation. Easily backup and transfer files between computers. Giant storage space for large files like movies.

These drives are great! I’ve only had issue with one out of the 11 I’ve bought over the years. I usually wait for the sales around thanksgiving since they get nicely discounted.
