    I use it for videos and stuff. It works perfectly attached to a laptop that is running Ubuntu that I am using for a media server.

    Just needed an external drive to store backups of my media and backup images of several PC's. This was easy to setup. Just attach to my USB port and everything worked as expected. Has been running for a month without problem.

    Drive can definitely transfer content quickly. Formatting was not difficult for Mac, but it is a bit noisier than I would like.

    Great value! I have several of these. No issues. They do vary in speed somewhat, one of them is fast enough to edit directly from.

    This drive works well for mass storage. I’ve had one 14TB corrupt on me before, however this one seems to be doing the trick.
