Shucked it for my DIY NAS and determined it's a WD180EDGZ-11B2DA0. Great value - but beware of the lingering hardcoded software if installing on Linux NAS.

Item is as advertised. I have ordered this item before and it seems to last. The power cord does seem a little "cheaper" but I am not worried about it.

When it comes to reliability WD never disappointes. 18tb is more than enough for my needs and I got it on sale, so win win...

the Webpage gave the suggestion of a case for the HD. this needs a bigger case than what was listed. Had to return the case and purchase one online.

Overall a good product, I have a few of these, but this one stopped working after 2 weeks, I was able to exchange for a new one with no issue

Bought it for Xbox series X external storage, but turns out Xbox only supports up to 13 gb. Now using it for my desktop pc, but like other reviewers said, it makes an annoying clunking sound every 5 seconds. Do not buy unless you're in a loud environment where you won't be able to hear the drive clunking. Otherwise it'll drive you insane.

I use these for backups. They are pretty solid units and over the time i've had them they have not given me any issues. Overall very happy with them for the purpose.

you get what you pay for, i needed more memory and this did the trick

It is a WD the best it is about all i buy these days , have used WD for many years and don't expect that to change

Use it mostly to store multimedia files and other backup files from my computer. Not the fastest drive in the world, but does the job. Good product.

Bought 3 of these to use in my synology nas at some future date. All three passed the extended SMART test i performed. One is currently used as a backup to my nas and its working well.

The challenging part is AC adaptor is mandatory! you can not use the hard drive whiteout power and AC

It seems to be working fine but it is noisy more so than any other backup device I’ve ever had.

Works great. I use it in conjunction with a mini-pc as a NAS. I imagine some customers might appreciate a longer USB cord.
