Always excellent quality with western digital and the same goes for Best Buy.

I ordered the 18 tb but I was given 16 tb. Which is fine I guess.

This product works as expected and doesn't make a lot of noise. The USB cable could be a longer though.

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I was prompted, so I figured I should leave an honest one. I have used Western Digital hard-drives for several years (this is my 4th or 5th) and for some reason my computer has a really hard time getting this hard drive to mount. Most days it takes several hours and I have to reboot, unplug, replug and wait. It’s very inconvenient as I need it connected so I can access my photos I store on it for work (I am a photographer). I am not sure if it is defective or what’s wrong but I am not satisfied with this hard drive whatsoever.

Great space at a wonderful price. I have it for a month and I am very satisfied.

It works but make noticible knocking noises every 5 seconds. Why not park the heads in a safe spot when there is no activity.

Picked up the hard disk yesterday, but it was not showing up in computer. It also cannot pass the WD Drive Utilities SMART test. Searched the reason and potential solutions, then used Disk Management to check the drive. The Drive shown in the Disk Management with the issue "Not Initialized". But when trying to initialize, getting the error "The device is not ready". Never had such an issue previously for a few other WD portable drives. Will exchange a new one to see what will happen.

DO NOT BUY!! I have had it for less than a year and it has stopped working. It will not load my content. Bought it based on a recommendation from a Best Buy employee, I am regretting it and it's giving me a stomachache and headache. I have 2 years' worth of work on this hard drive and it's gone. Originally was going to buy a G-Drive and the employee mentioned not getting it because of defects. Well, the defected hard drive is this horrible hard drive.

This is false advertisement BestBuy. On the box it says 18TB. I go home and my Windows 10 shows 16.3 TB. It the drive is 16.3 TB say so. Don't like. I save a lot of important data and every Gig is important to me.

It stopped working about 3 weeks after we purchased it. It is ridiculous to spend so much money on a product that doesn't work after a short period of time.

It makes it incredibly difficult to plug anything in unless under light, and if you're trying to plug in the light, forget about it.
