Finally, there is an external drive that can serve as a secondary backup to my server. Fast and easy to use.

So far so good. I would first put a big caveat that true quality of hard drive can be judged after years of usage and when it's reliability is proven (see SanDisk SSD data-loss debacle). However so far it looks like well made external drive which I bought at a good price.

Watch these drives for price drops, and great deals can be found. Helium filled enterprise level western digital drives inside - the last couple I bought were 7200rpm and have been CMR, which is better than my uses than SMR found in other devices.

Great drive, lots of capacity for my needs and storing media, not much else to say but it's still working great after 2 years+

Western Digital products never let me down. My NAS was getting full and this was the perfect addition to my network. Simply plug and play. WD hits the mark everytime.

Great backup external drive that has plenty of storage. Note that it is formatted NTFS for Windows® 10+, and reformatting is required for use with macOS. Also, please note that although the box states 18TB of storage, you actually have 16.758 TB available due the bits/bytes conversion.

Plenty of space and hibernate feature (when not used certain amount of time it will stop spinning and sleep) probably extend its life. Very satisfied.

Bought the Western Digital 18 TB external drive on the Back Friday Sale. easy to install. Windows 11 recognized it with issues. The drive includes a copy of Acronis backup software. I purchased the drive to be my dedicated backup drive.

Huge hard drive with a ton of space. Works great, no complaints. I've slowly been going from 2 TB, to 5 TB, to 12 TBs and now I'm thrilled that they have an 18 TB drive! Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a ton of hard drive space. Try to get it on sale, though!

Reliable and would recommend to continue buying these as needed. I have a handful for various uses, from backups to photo and video editing and haven't yet had any issues.

Good solid hard drive with lots of capacity. Not super fast, but great for archiving and use as a media server. Cheaper than the bare drive version, so many users shuck the plastic case and use the drive in their PCs and NAS.

Excellent hard drive with lots of space for anything you want to add to it. Every year I buy a bigger drive to store all my Video Games, TV Shows, Movies and Music

Slightly noisier than my 14TB WDC easy stores I've bought recently so I'm checking to see if this is an issue with this drive or just the 18TB drives in general. Not as good a value price wise vs the 14TB WDC easystore but tolerable. FWIW. I also like the venting on the easystore family vs a similarly priced Seagate drive I own which doesnt have enough side vents for heat dissipation and seems to run hotter.

Omg I play a lot of computer games and when you need storage, with how big these games are nowadays it’s such a hassle. I got tired of buying 1gb-3gb storage devices but with this I have soo much. I’m no longer restricted.

Great and easy to setup, works fairly fast. Does need to be plugged in though so limits mobility slightly. All in all a high capacity secure storage solution. Wish it had usb C for better speed and comparability with newer laptops.
