Plugged it in and started transferring data immediately. I like the compact size and low weight.

Great portable external HD for the money. One, it's made by Western Digital who has been making for HD's for a long time. Form factor is nice and compact, great for anyone who needs to carry around a portable external HD. 2TB storage space is more than enough to store files for the average user. Good to go!

Bought this for my wife to back up her data on her pc. Works good, easy to use but you must do this manually since it does not have the auto back up feature.

I have quite a few of these and they're reliable work horses. Same as the My Passport, but without encryption, which I think is actually a plus in the event that the enclosure fails for some reason. You still have a chance of pulling the drive and saving the data.

Needed more storage. So far, this is a better than average drive for a better than average price per TB

Small high capacity and easy to use, seems to be high quality.

I use this as system image backup and it works quite well. Keeps my computer uncluttered. Fast and quiet.It's have USB3.0 pretty good.

This is my review regarding use with the Playstation 4. If you need an external hard drive for your PS4 and don't want to overspend on bundled software with it, this is the way to go. Been using the 2TB version of this drive for 2 months now and it works great. My only complaint is that in the end, it is still a mechanical drive which means it won't be anywhere near as fast as say, an SSD. For what it does, it does an excellent job. Just plug in, format, and move your games. This drive doesn't make any unusual or loud noises and so far I'm pleased with it.

Compact design for a large amount of storage. Easy to use.

Wanted something I could dump some of my old college papers onto in order to free up some space on my main hard drive without flat out deleting all my work. Simple plug and play. It doesn't have any fancy pre installed software or improved copying speed. Its just a no frills external hard drive. If that's all you need I recommend.

I already had a WD 250 GB portable HD purchased about 8 years ago and it still works great. So when I thought about getting portable HD with more storage space, Western Digital was the obvious choice! The new hard drive looks great. I am pretty sure I am going to use it for a long long time:)

If u need more space for ps4 or xboxone. This harddrive will do. It is compact and realible.

Bought the drive for my sons' Xbox One, which was out of storage space. Just needed to plug it in, quickly format the drive, and we were able to transfer all of the stored games from the internal Xbox drive. Storage space is now quadrupled. Great drive at a great price.
