This is my second one. Im a glutton for punishment this item sucks

Bought this a year ago and now it unreadable. That sucks. Lost a day of work - will see if Best Buy will cover the cost of extracting the data from it.

I purchased this storage unit for my husband and he has no complaints.

Good to back up old computer geek squad did a good job of setting it up

I wanted something to plug and play but this is a little more complicated than expected. I should just purchased a junk drive.

I do not use it. I came away from Best Buy with two of these things. One in a blue box, one in a orange box. What am I supposed to do with two? Should I return one for a refund or what? No one has contacted me about my visit to Best Buy. Agent Leia was minimal in her presentation and information.

Not the easiest to set up for use . Interphase also not the best

not liking the non user friendly item, had to install it first just to find instructions on how to use it and still haven't found time to do that,ugh

A salesman suggested this drive for a MAC. He said that It is a plug and play. Well, I plugged It in and got the play part was to down load some software from the drive to the Mac. Ok I did that. Next was to format the drive to the MAC standard. The program need something from the internet and got a message that the web site could not be found. At this point I quit the dance and took the drive back.

This product sucks.... it crashed in six months of having it..... thank God i had a backup.... paying more to retrieve my files, three times more than the thing cost is a no for me.... find a samsung hard drive

Didn’t work for me since it’s not compatible with Windows 7. That wasn’t clear when purchased online.

This is not what I was looking for. I wanted something to back up my computer into onto in the case that my computer crashed. I don't know what this does.

DO NOT BUY I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS.. Second time having to buy this because the first one stopped working randomly and this time i transferred my files from my laptop to the hard drive and it instantly stopped working

Instructions for setting up this device were not clear. It did not save my files properly. I contacted the companies support via chat. I tried to explain the issues that I was having and the only thing they would do is route me back to their online instructions which were not clear, and the reason I contacted them in the first place. I would not recommend this product to anybody and will never by one of these items again.

Couldn’t get to work even after taking unit back to geek squad to see if product was good. Then got other product that worked without problems.

I may not recommend this external USB...i bought a new HP Spectre 13" laptop. I hooked this portable hard drive and the Spectre did NOT automatically recognize the hard drive...one has to go to the process of Settings and configurations. the WD developer should make it easy to have a plug and play feature and NOT for the consumer to figure it out and the instructions are NOT simple... Its a good hdd for the price. Nothing wrong with it very satisfied
