So far so good, I always start out with high ratings unless There is a problem and I like to consider longevity a crucial factor which I cannot endorse this early after purchase, but as a basic storage device where read/write speeds don’t need to be too high , it seems to be just fine

This one terabyte external hard drive looks and works perfect. It literally the size of a passport, and it comes with software that can effectively encrypt your files. It is an absolute must-have for PC users.

I needed a new external drive to backup my music and the price was the thing that pushed me to do so. WD has been a quality maker for years, so it was easy to consider being the drive. Installation was a no-brainer.

I had to rush and purchase when my system shut down and I didn't not have a backup. I am happy to say that I didn't lose anything and not this will serve as a backup for my files on my computer. Great buy.

I recently bought a new laptop and wanted to back up my tax returns, pictures, and a few other miscellaneous items from my old laptop before I reformatted it to give away. I was so impressed that I could do this easily. My son was not so impressed. I had backed up the shortcuts not the documents. Luckily I had not deleted anything.

I am building a house and had drone footage taken regularly but files did not make it to the cloud properly.So I purchased this hard drive so friend could put all of the footage as house was built in one place.

I am not very computer literate, but I was able to download the PDF instructions for this hard drive. I was able to understand and follow the instructions to download the files, photos and videos I wanted to back up.
