Bought this to back up an old iMac. The iMac is old so it didn't have the USB 3.0 but it certainly did the trick and price was great.

I haven't had it that long, the reason for 4 stars, since I haven't had enough experience with it to know how it will hold up. I backed up a bunch of files on to it & successfully copied files off of it onto another computer. I'm hopeful that it will continue to work well into the future for longer term back-up.

We've gotten several excellent portable hard drives from Western Digital over the years and this one was equally outstanding. It transfers data seamlessly and fast. It's very dependable.

Plug and play made the use of this device EZ. I've had no issues with it.

Perfect size , storage volume and easy to use. Speed is ok, not super fast but good enough for the price.

WD products. What more can you say other than quality. Used for secondary file backup. Fast transfer speed of large files and directories. Easy to move large files between workstations.

The drive is ideal for my current family project of saving photos and videos of memorable moments in the lives of each of our kids as a gift for each household.

Arthur is a very knowledgeable technician with computers!!… He’s helpful and is patient to hear my concerns ( as I’m not computer savvy) and having been hacked within the last 3 weeks…I was much more at ease , and I learned a few things!!! WD makes some of the best external hard drives. I've never been disappointed in their quality.

I know it is not the absolute best but it does the job and strike a good price/quality balance. This one was apparently formatted for PC, it was a bit of a drag to re-format for Mac, we are supposed to be given the choice on a new device...

Previous computer had a larger hard drive. This inexpensive 1TB external hard drive was a wonderful solution suggested by Geek Squad member. Takes up very little room, about size of deck of cards. Works well.

This model has great speed and it is just the right size for you to carry it around!

I needed a drive for use with my Raspberry PI 4 nusic server / streamer. This drive with 1 TB storage is more than adequate for the 1500 ripped CD's that I have.

I bought this to back up all my information in my old computer and it worked great. The information stays on their and you can reuse. Great investment.
