I bought this while using a laptop with no storage. Got rid of that laptop and bought in with the same amount of storage as this external. I still use it to store a ton of pictures and crochet patterns. Only problem I've had was with the connection wire, it somehow for lose and would cut off and on. This was an easy fix with a new wire that was cheap and longer than the original

Put all my media and data on this drive so I can take it with me anywhere I do. Perfect for traveling

this if good to have so I can back up the information from my laptop. I got it because my laptop got knocked off desk and was down for over a month. I did not have my things backed up and would have lost if could not have gotten fixed. So now everything backed up and will not lose

These hard drives from Western Digital are easy to use and can also be encrypted. I have bought multiple in the past and have no issues in connecting, using or transporting. These have the traditional hard drives in them but are well built and stylish as well.

Purchased this passport hoping that it would back up my programs but only backed up data. Now I have the data and Microsoft Word to use that I paid for. Now it is worthless. Hate to have to purchase another copy of word. Backing up a hard drive destroys all of the programs but leaves the data. That isn't very helpful when you have the replaced drive (2 times) but all of my programs are gone!

GS transferred contents of a dead computer to this external drive, It works what else could you want

Was looking for a dependable hard drive at a reasonable price and item purchased meet my requirements.

Portable hard drives are cheap insurance when it comes to protecting your data. If you cannot alternate between off-site backup drives (protecting from fire/theft), at least backup your data then unplug your backup drive to keep it safe from ransomware.

Have it hooked up to my PS4 for extra storage. No complaints at all. Does the job I need it to do!

I was getting rid of a PC and wanted to back up everything from it. Plenty of space.

Bought this external drive to replace a MyBook that had a failing harddrive. Like the fact that I don't need an external power source as well as a USB connection; all taken care of via USB connection with this drive. Not able to take advantage of USB 3.0 but still fast enough.

Disappointed by the fact they didn't have directions on how to install and what to do. No idea what the purpose of the "Quick Guide", double-sided small piece of paper, was for. Didn't find anything there to help install. I eventually muddled my way through install and figuring out how to use. Need better documentation. Seems to do the job.

This external harddrive was a necessity for me, as I save alot of pics to my laptop.

Easy to install but was not too sure what I was doing until Geek Squad straightened me out.

I bought this hard drive storage device for a PS4 works great and easy to install software to PS4.

We have other My Passports. They are easy to use, but two of the three we have stopped working suddenly. We were able to retrieve the data on the first one so we thought we did something wrong. The second one got fried somehow and we lost all the data. We've learned to have two sources to backup data on so if we loose it on one we still have it on another.

Easy to use and seems to be well built. Had to format because I don't like the software.
