Works as advertised. This is the second WD external that I have owned and have never had a problem. I like the apps that come with it and the ability to password protect the drive. I use it as a backup for several computers (just copy files).

My external drive is getting old, and this drive is a great backup

My Passport gives me more extra backup space than I will ever need.

My colleague and I were looking for a HD that we can swap back and forth for editing videos and photos, we ended up getting 2. We then swap them out with each other when working on certain projects and can accomplish a lot of editing during a weekend.

I was able to transfer the data from my wife's dead Dell Inspiron to this device without a problem. (Actually, this process was done by a computer repair shop). It seems like all files are in there. My wife expects to use this HD as a regular backup device with her upcoming new laptop

Hooked it up, computer found it and I began saving my data. Couldn't be any easier.

It is good but it does come with some stuff on it that really is not needed

My first back up did not work. I exchanged it at Best Buy. The second one worked great.

Is a great passport for a great price. I paid almost double for same one 2 years ago

Bought this for my wife, who used to keep her work files on a small USB drive. This drives holds all her files and more. Plug and play, USB 3.0 makes moving and savings files a snap. Chock full of features if your looking for a backup drive.

Got this hard drive to have Geek Squad trtansfer information from my old computer to my new one. It worked fine. I did not know that the drive also had back up capabilities for my new computer. I will set that up this week and appreciate the extra feature.

Generally speaking, I've always had great experience with WD drives. This one is of no exception. However, if I could redesign the drive; I would place the drive activity light on top of the drive, making it a blue, green, or other color; and so that the user can clearly see when drive activity is happening. The location of the drive activity light is in an odd position.

Fits my pc and holds all the info I needed it to. Small enough to travel with.
