I used this external back up drive to make a image copy of my computer and it went as good as I wanted. The price was attractive and its a good brand name quality product!

Recently saw reports on the internet regarding the importance of having "back-up" in case of hackers getting into my computer. First thought was to check with the Best Buy experts.

I love that I can store so much data into one place. Use it primarily to store tons of pictures. It’s comforting to know I can have everything safe in one place.

This is the second WD Passport that I've purchased from Best Buy, for another use. Easy to use, clean and simple. Requires a USB port, my Mac has one, so no problem.

I purchased this hard drive to connect to my Airtv to be able to record over the air tv programs. Set up went off smoothly and unit is recording with no problems.

I’ve used this product before a while back but I had misplaced it. I bought another one, great product only reason I have four stars is because I can’t use for both Mac and Microsoft it’s either or from the beginning. Once you format it for your Mac you can’t use with Microsoft.

For the price, this is the best package of the hard disk and encryption software from WD. The transfer speed is decent and works flawlessly with my windows Pc.

I buy televisions once every 10 years, so I buy the best bang for the buck. This model has an outstanding picture that really shows of the the many shade of any color. Very satisfied.

I may need to return or reformat this as it did not work with my Windows 7 laptop for back up. I kept getting error messages that it could not complete. When I tried the software that it came with -- same thing. Must have bought a dud.

We had all of our files backed up from our computer before they checked out the computer and removed any virus's and tuned it up so we would not loose anything.

These are notorious for being returned because they "don't work". They just need to be formatted. Go to YouTube and find instructions on how to set it up before returning!!

As usual WD brings you a quality product that does what it says it will. My only problem I didn't buy large enough storage so I will need to buy another one.

This is a great product. I work in academia and handle gigabytes of data. I liked the automatic backing up feature which securely transfer my work to this new hard disk. Worry free!

The WD - My Passport 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive works perfectly. It is simple easy to hook up to your computer, and simple as well to save information to.

I was looking for something to save my pictures on. I didn't know what to get. The salesperson showed this to me and explained what it was and how it worked. It was just what I needed

I bought this as a Christmas gift and thankfully the person I got it for loved it. They were able to use it very quickly. The only Problem is that there wasn’t any instructions that went with it if you were using it for a Mac. YouTube definitely helped in that department.

WDC External drives have done well for me. I like the backup software with this drive. So far is working well. Can also do mirror images of important files on the same drive. Nice

The drive does perform. However, it is not user friendly. I had to go to the Best Buy shop to learn how to use the app for the full back up (scheduled set up as well as on-demand). I expected it to be lot easier push & play type device.
