I am planning to keep here all my family videos, pictures, and my favorite movies. it is fast enough. and ready to go out of box. just plug in to your computer.

I have several My WD Passport USB drives. I needed another one for use with a new desktop. It is fast with the USB 3.0 connection. It also has a 3 year warranty.

We bought this HD for the backup process on my wife's laptop. Not only does it work as it should, but the power also comes from the USB connection. Fantastic.

Works fine. I never use the apps that come with these hard drives so I very rarely have a problem. The backup programs are what usually cause any problems you may have. Just do your own backups or get a trusted and true program yourself. The lifetime remains to be seen, with these drives.

This product meets my needs as a backup to the contents of one of my computers that was exhibiting problems with Windows 7. I can now download its contents on a new computer that I purchased.

I didn't use it. I returned it because it ws to be used to back-up my data. And since they couldn't retrieve my data I took it back to best buy.

I bought this to back up some legal documents and it worked fine. It only has 1TB of storage which is a good amount of space.

This product has really came in handy. I was running out of space on my computer and I needed space because I had a big event coming up and didn't want to run out of space.

Better that expected. Came with software loaded. No explanation on how to use it, Of course I could go to the Internet, but a little explanatory brochure would be great.

This is one of my external backup drives, and preforms well as such. However, as some other users on the WD forums have experienced, the drive refused to be ejected while using both the WD Backup program and Window's Backup and Restore. Picking one or the other clears that up!

This 1TB portable storage device is just what was needed to save all the data on my computer when the "Blue Screen" of death appeared. Thanks WD!

Not the fastest at file transfer, but stable so far. down side is it will interrupt file transfer if you dont wait to boot up the disk through the automatic unlocker .exe also plastic shroud seems brittle, we will see. Only used it a couple times so we'll see.

I love that the Best Buy salesperson suggested this option for my data. I am impressed and relived that my data was safe and able to be transferred to my new device.
